Fright on Franklin

Fright on Franklin, the City’s annual Halloween festival, will take place on Saturday, October 25th, in Downtown Clarksville from 3:00pm to 7:00pm. Fright on Franklin will feature 70 trick-or-treat booths, costume contests, a haunted house, a hayride and food vendors!

New Weight Loss and Weight Maintenance Program

New Program to begin at Crow Community Center this November
Are you ready for a change? The Crow Community Center, located at 211 Richview Road, is set to begin a brand new program to encourage healthy lifestyles in the community. This program, intended to help with weight loss and maintaining a healthy weight, is based on the PILI Ohana Program which focuses on weight control, behavior change, social systems, and lifestyle.
This six-month program features an initial “weight loss phase” that lasts three months, followed by a three month “weight loss maintenance phase.” Additionally, participants will take part in three assessments, a baseline assessment to begin, followed by a monthly assessment of progress during the weight loss phase. Congratulations to the “Art on the Park” contest winners

The City of Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department and PPG Porter Paints are happy to announce the winners of this year’s “Art on the Park” contest. The five finalists and grand prize winner will receive their artwork framed and the opportunity to paint their design on a selected wall of the Heritage Park Skatepark.
Finalists included: Jasmine Robinson of Kenwood High School, Breahna Humphrey of Kenwood High School, Dakota Woodward of Northeast High School, Brizeyda Ramon Rajos of Northeast High School, and Aniseya White of West Creek Middle School.
Maternity Aerobics
The Indoor Aquatic Center (IAC) is excited to offer a class for expectant mothers! Did you know, water provides emotional and physical security for pregnant women to get a safe work out and enjoy a feeling of weightlessness?
This class combines a low-impact aerobic exercise with optional exercises for toning trouble areas. Classes are held every Monday and Friday evening from 5:00pm to 5:45pm. Cost is $2.00 with a membership, $4.00 without. Register online today at recpro.cityofclarksville.com
