Tennessee Bureau of Investigation charge Bobby Blaylock of Cheatham County on Kidnapping, Rape

 

Tennessee Bureau of InvestigationNashville, TN – An investigation by Special Agents with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has resulted in the indictment of a Cheatham County man on charges of kidnapping and rape.

At the request of 23rd District Attorney General Ray Crouch, TBI Special Agents and deputies with the Cheatham County Sheriff’s Office began investigating Bobby Eugene Blaylock on April 3rd.

During the course of the investigation, Agents determined that earlier that day, Blaylock, who had an active warrant for Violation of the Sex Offender Registry, was with the victim at a park in Ashland City.

Nashville Goes 1-for-7 With Runners In Scoring Position

Nashville SoundsOklahoma City, OK – The Nashville offense stalled on Monday night at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark and the Sounds three-game winning streak was snapped in the 5-3 defeat at the hands of the Oklahoma City Dodgers.

Both teams managed just four hits apiece and fell prey to strong pitching. The Sounds worked just one walk and it was the first time in the early season that the team failed to collect a double-digit hit total.

The Sounds jumped out to an early 2-0 advantage in the first. Leadoff man Billy Burns worked a walk and stole second base.

Clarksville Police Department Saturation Patrol Statistics from April 10th – April 11th, 2015

 

Clarksville Police DepartmentClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Police Department conducted impaired saturation patrols on April 10th and April 11th, which was partially funded by the Governor’s Highway Safety Office.

During this time, there were 150 vehicles stopped and 126 individuals charged.

Fort Campbell’s R.F. Sink Library to hold “Tell me a Story” April 22nd

 

Fort Campbell's Morale, Welfare and Recreation - MWRFort Campbell, KY – Robert F. Sink Memorial Library and the Fort Campbell Health Promotion Office will partner with Military Child and Education Coalition (MCEC) to present “Tell Me a Story.” on Wednesday, April 22nd. Each Family will receive one copy of the book that’s read.  Light refreshments and a craft will be provided.  Facilitators will discuss books with the children.

David Craig from the Nashville Connection will sing and country star Darryl Worley will read “Courage” by Bernard Waber.  This program is free but space is limited and it does require registration.

Austin Peay State University Sports - APSU - Governors - Lady GovsBrentwood, TN – Second baseman Garrett Copeland had three game-winning hits for Austin Peay State University’s baseball team last week and was named the adidas® Ohio Valley Conference Player of the Week, Monday.

Copeland, of Bartlett,TN began the week with a school-record tying six hits against Middle Tennessee. His 6-for-6, three RBI performance included a game-winning two-run single in the seventh inning and a leadoff home run in the sixth.

IRS gives Last Minute Tax Filing Tips

 

Internal Revenue Service - IRSNashville, TN – As the April 15th income-tax filing deadline approaches, IRS Spokesman Mark Green offers tax tips for those still working on their tax returns.

“Millions of taxpayers are rushing to complete their taxes and thousands more realize they’re going to need more time. We estimate that 2.9 million Tennessee Taxpayers will be filing tax returns this year. Thus far we have received over 1.8 million tax returns with an average refund of $2,893,” said Green.   As taxpayers begin to work on finalizing their tax returns, here are some valuable free helpful tax tips to avoid the stress and help beat the rush.
