Two Firework Shows and Opening Night Ceremonies Kick Off Sounds’ 2015 Home Season
Nashville, TN – The Nashville Sounds open their 2015 home schedule at First Tennessee Park on Friday, April 17th and will play host to the Colorado Springs Sky Sox (Triple-A Brewers) and Oklahoma City Dodgers (Triple-A Dodgers).
The eight-game homestand will be highlighted by a pair of Fox 17 Friday Night Firework shows, several giveaways and an Opening Night with all the bells and whistles.
Opening Night: Friday, April 17th
Nashville Sounds vs. Colorado Springs Sky Sox
7:05pm (Gates Open at 5:35pm)
Opening Night: Come celebrate the christening of First Tennessee Park with Opening Night. Mayor Karl Dean will throw out the first pitch and an on-field ceremony will take place at 6:45pm.
Ribbon Cutting Event: Mayor Karl Dean, Governor Bill Haslam, Sounds Owner Frank Ward, Sounds GM and COO Garry Arthur, and others will be on hand to participate in a ceremonial ribbon cutting in front of the Jackson Street entrance at First Tennessee Park. The ceremony will begin at 4:30pm.
Fox 17 Friday Night Fireworks: After the final out is recorded, the fun has just begun. Fans can stay tuned after the game and enjoy the first of 13 firework shows presented by Fox 17.
Piggy Bank Giveaway: The Sounds are kicking off the 2015 promotional schedule in style. The first 4,000 fans will receive a piggy bank giveaway presented by First Tennessee.
Saturday, April 18th

Magnetic Schedule Giveaway: 10,000 fans will be able to keep up with the team all year long as the Sounds are giving away a magnetic schedule presented by The Tennesseean.
Sunday, April 19th

Autograph Day: Fans can stop by the First Tennessee Park concourse before the game to snap a picture and grab an autograph from their favorite Sounds players.
Piedmont Natural Gas Military Sunday: The Sounds will don camouflage jerseys every Sunday home game and offer special military discounts for Military Sundays presented by Tennessee 811 and WSMV Channel 4. Active and veteran military men, women and families can purchase tickets as low as $6.00 in select seating areas with a valid military I.D.
Kids Run The Bases: Kids 12 and under can take a lap around the bases following every Sunday game at First Tennessee Park.
Monday, April 20th

T-Shirt Tuesday: Tuesdays are all about t-shirts at First Tennessee Park. The first 2,000 fans will receive a t-shirt with the Sounds’ new logo and color schemes presented by Advanced Financial.

Senior Discount: All seniors over the age of 60 can purchase tickets in selected areas for $8.00 presented by Hippie Radio 94.5. Limit one ticket per I.D.

Throwback Thursday: Everyone’s favorite day is back! Every Thursday the Sounds are reaching back into the rich baseball history at Sulphur Dell to honor the 1940 Nashville Vols as this season’s uniform style. Fans are also able to purchase select beer and soft drinks for $2.00 all night presented by iHeart Media.

Following the homestand, Nashville will embark upon an eight-game, nine-day road trip, beginning with a four-game series against the New Orleans Zephyrs (Triple-A Marlins). The Sounds will then travel to face the Round Rock Express (Triple-A Rangers) in a four-game set before returning home on Monday, May 4 to host an eight-game homestand against the Iowa Cubs (Triple-A Cubs) and the Express.
