Brentwood, TN – Sophomore triple jump artist Kaylnn Pitts, of the Austin Peay State University track and field team, has been named adidas® / Ohio Valley Conference Co-Female Field Athlete of the Week, the conference office announced Wednesday.
Her 12.92m (42′ 4.75″) leap placed her 10th in the NCAA East Region and 15th in the nation heading into competition this weekend.
Pitts shares this week’s award with SIU Edwardsville’s Elizabeth Hampl. Pitts has now won or shared the award April 1st, April 15th (when she shared the honor with Tennessee State’s Amber Hughes) and April 30th. Overall, an Austin Peay track or field athlete has won a weekly honor 10 times in 2015.
