Austin Peay State University Lady Govs - APSUChattanooga, TN – Freshman middle blocker Kaylee Taff posted a team-best 13 kills to lead Austin Peay State University’s volleyball team to a come-from-behind 3-2 (25-22, 22-25, 15-25, 25-16, 15-11) victory against Gardner-Webb, Friday afternoon, in the opening match of the Scenic City Showdown at MacLellan Gym.

Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office captures Inmate Christopher Alan

 

Montgomery County Sheriff's Office - MCSOClarksville, TN – The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office have captured an inmate who walked off a work detail Friday morning.

A neighbor of a home in the 2600 block of Woodlawn Road noticed suspicious activity inside a vacant house under renovation.

He flagged down a passing patrol deputy.

Pillars of Hope exhibit now on Display at Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library

 

Montgomery County TennesseeMontgomery County, TN – Montgomery County Government has recently accepted the Pillars of Hope exhibit from the Volunteer Clarksville organization.

As many may remember, the Pillars of Hope were created during the 9/11 Serve to Remember Days of Service in 2012, in partnership with the Austin Peay State University Department of Art Professors Ken Shipley and Cynthia Marsh.

This week’s game will be televised regionally on CBS, including Nashville affiliate WTVF NewsChannel 5. Andrew Catalon will handle play-by-play duties, while Steve Tasker and Steve Beuerlein will serve as analysts.

Clarksville Police issues Facts about False Information being posted on a Clarksville Facebook page

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – In the last few days, a Clarksville resident in the Savannah West Subdivision has been posting on his Facebook page that there was a sexual predator in his neighborhood on September 9th, 2015.

On his post, he stated that a white male with short hair driving a grey BMW tried to abduct a 12-year-old female. After his attempt was unsuccessful, he circled around and went after two boys.

Clarksville Police responded to incidents on Savannah West neighborhood. These incidents were deemed “Suspicious Activity” calls. No crime occurred in either incident.

Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office reports Nonviolent inmate Christopher Poore walks off work detail

 

Montgomery County Sheriff's Office - MCSOClarksville, TN – A nonviolent inmate has walked off of a work detail in the Woodlawn, TN area, west of Purple Heart Parkway.

Deputies are currently searching the area of Highway 79/Dover Road between Lylewood Road and Lake Road.

Christopher Alan Poore, 21, is a white male, 6’0, 135 lbs with short blonde hair and brown eyes. Poore is a nonviolent offender. He is serving time for theft of property and criminal trespass.

Clarksville Riverfest announces Parking Information, Festival Rules and Lane Closures for Riverside Drive

 

Clarksville's Riverfest CelebrationClarksville, TN – There will be lane closures on Riverside Drive for Clarksville’s Riverfest Festival Friday, September 11th and Saturday, September 12th, 2015.

Traffic will be slower moving than usual during this time period, so it’s recommend drivers plan alternate routes or give themselves plenty of time to travel to their destination.
