Charleston, IL – Austin Peay State University women’s soccer team fell on the wrong end of a 1-0 score line against Eastern Illinois, Sunday.
The Governors (8-6-2, 3-2-2 OVC) earned 10 corner kicks in the match, including seven in the second half. APSU also attempted 13 shots, with fourĀ on target.

The Panthers finished with five shots (four in the first half), although APSU was able to win the possession battle in the midfield.
Junior forward Kirstin Robertson registered a game-high four shots, including two on goal, while redshirt freshman Pamela Penaloza and sophomore Isabel Holmes each recorded two attempts.
Junior goalkeeper Lindsey Todd made two saves on the afternoon, but was given the loss. On the other side, EIU’s Sara Teteak totaled four saves.
The remainder of Austin Peay’s regular season schedule will be played at home, beginning 7:00pm, Friday, as Belmont travels to Morgan Brothers Soccer Field.
