Clarksville Parks and Recreation gears up for the Summer Season
Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Parks and Recreation is excited to open four public swimming pools and four splash pads on Saturday, May 26th, 2018 for the summer season.
Pools are open daily through August 5th. Admission is $5.00 daily, after 3:00pm admission is $3.00. Seasonal and year-round pool memberships are also available. Hours vary by location, see below for hours of operation. Concessions are available for purchase onsite at each pool. No outside food or drinks are allowed.
Splash pads are open daily from 10:00am to 7:00pm through early September. Splash pads are available at the following parks: Edith Pettus, Heritage, Dixon, and Lettie Kendall parks. Admission is free!
Pools offer five comprehensive levels of swim lessons, plus Parent-Child, Preschool, Adult and Adaptive. Two-week sessions are offered each month and begin June 11th. Cost is $40.00 and registration is underway now . In addition, free swim lessons are offered to children ages 3-12 who meet Howard’s Hope eligibility requirements. Looking to get fit? Silver Splash, held Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays from 9:00am to 9:45am at New Providence pool and is designed to help adults, ages 50 and up, improve agility, balance, coordination and strength. Cost is $3.00 per class. Evening water aerobics class, open to adults ages 18 and up, will be on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday evenings from 5:45pm to 6:30pm at Bel-Aire pool. Cost is $35.00 per 4-week session.
New this season, Clarksville Parks and Recreation has teamed up with Waterdogs Scuba to provide a variety of scuba experiences at Bel-Aire pool. Designed for young divers, ages 8-12, Seal Team Scuba Camp is built around action-packed aqua missions and takes place Tuesday-Thursday, June 5th-7th or July 17th-19th from 1:00pm to 5:00pm. Cost is $299.00 per person.
Introduce your child, ages 8-11, to scuba during the Bubblemaker Scuba Experience from 5:00pm-7:30pm, June 27th or 1:00pm-3:30pm, July 21st. Cost is $40.00 per person.
Learn how to use scuba equipment and get a quick and easy introduction to what it takes to explore the underwater world at Discover Scuba available from 1:00pm-3:30pm June 2nd or July 7th, 5:00pm-7:30pm June 6th or July 11th. Cost is $40.00 and is open to ages 10 and up. Pre-registration required.
Looking for a unique location for your next party or gathering? Clarksville Parks and Recreation is excited to offer pool party packages during public swim times. Party packages cost $10.00 per person and includes two hours of free swim, pizza, juice box, and an ice cream cup per person. Book online now at CityofClarksville.com/

Water Safety Day
Parents and children are invited to join us at New Providence Pool from 11:00am to 1:00pm Saturday, June 9th to learn about water safety by visiting activity stations. The first 150 participants will receive a free t-shirt! Cost is $3.00 per person.
Beat the Heat Pool Party
Cool off with swimming, refreshments and fun from 6:00pm-8:00pm Saturday, July 7th at Bel-Aire, New Providence, Beachaven and Swan Lake pools. Cost is free for pool members or $6.00 per person for non-members. Pre-registration is required by July 5th.
Back to School Splash
Students are invited to enjoy our low-cost pool party from 6:00pm-8:00pm Saturday, August 4th at Beachaven, New Providence or Swan Lake pools, where they will receive a backpack full of grade appropriate school supplies. Cost is $6.00 per person. Pre-registration is required.
