This disaster will continue to place a significant financial burden on individuals, the state, and local governments, and President Trump’s quick action will help Tennessee respond to this crisis.

Tennessee Department of Health reports 252 new cases of Coronavirus in Tennessee, April 11th, 2020

 

Tennessee Department of HealthNashville, TN – The Tennessee Department of Health (TDH) reports that there have been 5,114 confirmed cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) in Tennessee on Saturday, April 11th, 2020. That is up 252 cases from Friday’s 4,862. There have been ninety four deaths in Tennessee because of the virus.

Four new cases of Coronavirus (COVID-19) have been reported in Montgomery County bringing the total up to eighty eight. There has been two deaths in Montgomery County due to the virus.

Tennessee Department of Correction takes Covid-19 Actions after Inmate Tests Positive

 

Tennessee Department of CorrectionClifton, TN – Tennessee Department of Correction (TDOC) reports an inmate at the Turney Center Industrial Complex – Annex in Only has tested positive for Coronavirus (COVID-19). 

On Tuesday, April 7th, 2020 during one of the multiple proactive screenings at the facility, the inmate was shown to have a low-grade fever and was placed in quarantine.

NASA’s Perseverance Rover gets Mars Helicopter connected to it’s bottom

 

NASA - National Aeronautics and Space AdministrationPasadena, CA – With the launch period of NASA’s Mars 2020 Perseverance rover opening in 14 weeks, final preparations of the spacecraft continue at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida.

In the past week, the assembly, test and launch operations team completed important milestones, fueling the descent stage – also known as the sky crane – and attaching the Mars Helicopter, which will be the first aircraft in history to attempt power-controlled flight on another planet.

Over the weekend, 884 pounds (401 kilograms) of hydrazine monopropellant were loaded into the descent stage’s four fuel tanks.

The Mars Helicopter and its Mars Helicopter Delivery System were attached to the Perseverance Mars rover at Kennedy Space Center on April 6, 2020. The helicopter will be deployed about two-and-a-half months after Perseverance lands. (NASA/JPL-Caltech)
