Clarksville-Montgomery County under Freeze Warning for Tuesday Morning

National Weather ServiceNashville, TN – The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Freeze Warning for Clarksville-Montgomery County and the Middle Tennessee area for early Tuesday morning, October 18th, 2022.

Sub-freezing temperatures between 24 degrees to 32 degrees are expected. The freeze warning will be in effect from 1:00am until 9:00am CT Tuesday.

Frost and freeze conditions will kill crops, other sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing.
 
Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold. To prevent freezing and possible bursting of outdoor water pipes they should be wrapped, drained, or allowed to drip slowly. Those that have in-ground sprinkler systems should drain them and cover above-ground pipes to protect them from freezing.
