Clarksville, TN – Lexi Osowski-Anderson continued to receive preseason national recognition, as the Austin Peay State University (APSU) third baseman was named to DI Softball’s Top 10 at the position nationally, coming in at number nine in their NCAA Division I position rankings.
A San Diego, California, native, Osowski-Anderson was also named to Extra Inning Softball’s Top 100 softball players in the nation earlier this spring, as well as their number eight-ranked third baseman nationally entering the 2023 season.
These honors are coming off a 2022 season where she batted .408, with 15 doubles and 13 home runs, while driving in 46 and scoring 42 runs and setting the school record for slugging percentage in a single season with a .777 mark.
Osowski-Anderson finished last season ranked in the NCAA Division I softball’s Top 50 in batting average (38th), slugging percentage (39th), on-base percentage (42nd), and total bases (43rd), while being selected to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-Midwest Region First Team as well as the Ohio Valley Conference Player of the Year, and OVC First Team member.
The Austin Peay State University softball team opens their 2023 season, on February 10th at the Gardner-Webb Runnin’ Bulldog Classic.
