To do this, it is important they are exposed to different facilities and locations which replicate real life scenarios so the K-9s and their handlers can hone their skills.

CPD is looking for facilities such as warehouses, barns, storage areas, vacant houses, etc. indoors or outdoors which can be used for K-9 training.

Clarksville Police reports Aggravated Assault on Chapel Street

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Early this morning, February 10th, 2015 at 12:11am, the Clarksville Police Department responded to an Aggravated Assault at the 100 block of Chapel Street.

The victim stated while having a conversation with his friend Tommie McCullum, he and Mr. McCullum got into an argument. The victim advised the argument turned physical in the living room, and that is when Mr. McCullum pulled out a small pocket knife from his pocket and started stabbing the victim.

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Clarksville Police veteran Service Dog ‘Karma’ is hitting the streets this week with a brand new partner, Officer Joshua Swaffer.

Karma and Officer Swaffer recently completed the six-week Southern Police K-9 Handlers course in Spring Hill, North Carolina and are the newest additions to the Clarksville Police Department’s K-9 Unit.

Clarksville Dental Center, Governors Square Mall to Host Bullying Prevention Event with Captain McFinn

Clarksville Police DepartmentClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Police K-9 unit returned from North Carolina with a whole lot of training and renewed motivation. There are now have Four officers on the street with their K-9 partners and a supervisor that has high expectations for the unit.

They are proactive and doing good things with their new or finely honed skills.
