Nashville SoundsOklahoma City, OK – The Nashville Sounds came up one run short in Tuesday night’s contest at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark, losing 5-4 to the Oklahoma City RedHawks, who claimed the American Southern Division and a postseason berth as a result.

Down 4-1, the Sounds strung together a two-run two-out rally in the sixth inning courtesy of a triple from Nashville second baseman Eugenio Velez, 2-for-4.

Nashville Sounds beat Oklahoma City RedHawks 5-2 at Greer Stadium Thursday night

 

Nashville SoundsNashville, TN – Hiram Burgos threw five scoreless innings and the Sounds got homers from Khris Davis and Josh Prince during Nashville’s 5-2 victory over Oklahoma City on Thursday evening at Greer Stadium in the opener of a five-game series.

Burgos (1-2) turned in an impressive effort during the fourth start of his rehabilitation stint (second for Nashville) while recovering from a right shoulder impingement. The right-hander worked five scoreless innings, allowing three hits while striking out five batters while throwing 64 pitches (35 strikes).

Nashville Sounds get only three hits in 6-2 loss to Oklahoma City RedHawks

 

Nashville SoundsOklahoma City, OK – The Nashville Sounds were held to only three hits by Oklahoma City pitchers Wednesday night at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark, while RedHawks batters put up six runs on 13 hits to win 6-2 and hand Nashville its seventh consecutive road loss. The loss gives Oklahoma City the series victory with still one game remaining.

Three RedHawks pitchers combined for the three-hitter, led by starter Wes Musick (2-0), who turned in six strong innings en route to his second win of the season. The southpaw fired four strikeouts and held Nashville to one run on two hits. Relievers Eric Berger and Jason Stoffel finished out the final three innings for the ‘Hawks.

Nashville Blows Early Six-Run Lead In 9-8 Loss At Oklahoma City

Nashville SoundsOklahoma City, OK – The Sounds squandered an early six-run lead as Oklahoma City RedHawks plated eight unanswered runs en route to a 9-8 victory over the Sounds on Monday evening at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark in the opener of a four-game series.

The game featured 17 runs and 27 hits, including 13 extra-base knocks, in the contest. The teams had combined for only 13 total runs in their three-game series in Nashville in early April.
