Fort Campbell KY - 101st Airborne DivisionFort Campbell, KY – Gary Sinise, actor famous for his critically acclaimed role in “Forrest Gump” and advocate for military personnel and first responders, will sign copies of his latest book, “Grateful American: A Journey from Self to Service,” at the Fort Campbell Exchange.

Copies of “Grateful American” are now available for purchase at the Exchange; limited quantities will be available at the signing. Limit one copy per customer on the day of the event. No other books or materials will be signed. Shoppers may take a photo with Sinise with assistance from an Exchange associate.

Fort Campbell Exchange Among the Best in the World

The Fort Campbell Exchange was one of four stores recognized with the Exchange’s top award May 7th during the U.S. Department of Defense retailer’s annual conference for general managers and main store managers in Frisco, Texas.

“The Fort Campbell Exchange sets the standard high because we know we are serving the best customers in the world,” said Exchange General Manager David Swenson.

Campbell Crossing celebrates Earth Day on Fort Campbell

 

Campbell CrossingFort Campbell, KY – Campbell Crossing, the on-post housing community on Fort Campbell, recently hosted their annual Earth Day Extravaganza. The event was a huge success with soldiers, residents and families who came out to participate.

The event kicked off with the planting of a shade tree at the Werner Park Community Center, donated by the Fort Campbell Exchange.

Fort Campbell Winter Storm Status for Friday, January 12th

 

Fort Campbell KY - 101st Airborne DivisionFort Campbell, KY – For Friday, January 12th, 2018, the Senior Commander of U.S. Army Fort Campbell has authorized the installation to remain open for limited operations only. Mission Essential Personnel should report to work. Dependent Schools are closed. For questions regarding Mission Essential, Civilian employees contact your supervisors, Soldiers contact your unit Commander.

The Commissary will be closed and plans to open normal hours on Saturday.

The Exchange will attempt to open all facilities at normal hours, however, the priority is to open Kentucky Express and Gardner Hill Express.

Cricket Wireless Now Available in Fort Campbell Exchange

 

Cricket WirelessAtlanta, GACricket Wireless services can now be found in 122 military exchanges in U.S. based military bases. This includes 83 Army & Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) stores, 14 Marine Corps Exchanges (MCX) and 26 Navy Exchanges (NEXCOM).

Working with Wireless Advocates and the exchanges, military shoppers can take home the Risio 2, CoolPad, HTC Desire 550, Sol 2 or a bring-your-own-device (BYOD) kit to activate their own compatible smartphones on Cricket’s network.

Fort Campbell Newcomers brief important first step: Soldiers, spouses can benefit from program introductions

Fort Campbell KY - 101st Airborne DivisionFort Campbell, KY – When Soldiers arrive at Fort Campbell they begin their in-processing at the 1st Lt. J. Robert Kalsu Replacement Company and most spend their first Thursday attending a newcomers brief at the Family Resource Center.

Connie Silk, Army Community Service supervisor for Information and Referral and Relocation Readiness, said normally there are about 150 to 200 Soldiers who attend the weekly brief and if a Soldier is married their spouse also is invited to attend.

Fort Campbell’s orientation program normally starts about 8:30am and lasts until about 3:00pm. The purpose of the newcomers’ brief is to set out standards and expectations for Soldiers and to connect them and their Families to resources Fort Campbell offers, Silk said.

Exchanges at Fort Carson, CO, Fort Campbell, KY, and Fort Bliss, Texas, celebrated their grand reopenings November 13th, while the Exchange at Fort Leonard Wood, MO, unveiled its new look November 24th. The upgrades are part of the Exchange’s ongoing effort to improve the shopping experience for military customers.
