The APSU Center of Excellence for the Creative Arts Celebrates 25 Years with Major Arts Events

 

Chris Burawa, the executive director of the Austin Peay State University Center of Excellence for the Creative Arts, looked tired. He sat slumped in a booth at the Einstein Bros. Bagels coffee shop with his Blackberry on the table, and a large poster filled front and back with event listings.

“It’s the Center’s 25th anniversary,” he said, lifting the poster, “and we’re going to have a yearlong celebration.”

Lowe and Ferguson Help APSU Music Department Set Holiday Mood for Area

 

Austin Peay State University LogoSome of the country’s top musical talent is heading to Austin Peay State University this December to help bring a little holiday spirit to the Clarksville community.

VocalEase in concert at APSU

APSU presents “Gift of Music” concert series

Imani Winds coming to APSU

Imani Winds will perform at 7:30 p.m., Friday, Jan. 23, in the Music/Mass Communication Building Concert Hall. Since 1997, this Grammy-nominated wind quintet has taken a unique path, carving out a distinct presence in the classical music world with its dynamic playing, culturally poignant programming, genre-blurring collaborations and inspirational outreach programs.
