Montgomery County Sheriff's Office - MCSOClarksville, TN – The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) is partnering with the Drug Enforcement Administration for the 19th Annual National Prescription Drug Take Back Day. The event will be on October 24th, 2020 from 10:00am to 2:00pm.

The annual nationwide event aims to provide a safe, convenient and responsible way of disposing of prescription drugs, while also educating the public about the potential for abuse of medications.

Rates of prescription drug abuse in the United States are alarmingly high, as are the number of accidental poisonings and overdoses due to these drugs.

City of ClarksvilleClarksville, TN – Local law enforcement, first responders and community organizations joined with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration Saturday to collect 132 pounds of expired, unused and unwanted drugs on National Prescription Drug Take Back Day.

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – On Saturday, April 27th, 2019 from 10:00am to 2:00pm, at Sam’s Club, 3315 Guthrie Highway, Clarksville, Tennessee, the Clarksville Police Department and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration will offer the public its 17th opportunity in nine years to prevent pill abuse and theft by ridding their homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs.

Bring your pills or patches for disposal to Sam’s Club (sites cannot accept liquids or needles or sharps.); the service is free and anonymous, no questions asked.

Drop off locations were set up at Harris Family Pharmacy on Fort Campbell Boulevard, Sango Pharmacy on Madison Street, Walgreens at the corner of Fort Campbell Boulevard and Tiny Town Road, and the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.

Montgomery County Sheriff's Office - MCSOClarksville, TN – The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and Fred’s Pharmacy are partnering for The National Prescription Drug Take Back Day.

Too often, unused prescription drugs find their way into the wrong hands. Which is dangerous and can lead to tragedy. We encourage citizens to clean out their medicine cabinets and turn in old and used prescription drugs so they can be disposed of safely.

Agents from the 19th Judicial Drug Task Force will be at Fred’s Pharmacy at 390 Hwy 149 from 10:00am to 2:00pm on Saturday, October 28th, to provide a safe, convenient, and anonymous means of disposing old and unused prescription drugs.
