Clarksville Parks and Recreation to hold Public Meeting on Safe Routes to Kenwood School Complex January 5th, 2016

 

Clarksville Parks and Recreation DepartmentClarksville, TN – On January 5th, 2016 beginning at 6:00pm, a citizen’s input workshop to discuss a potential grant application and project will be held at Kenwood Elementary School, located 1101 Peachers Mill Road.

The City of Clarksville is teaming up with the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System to seek federal/state funding to assist with providing students at the Kenwood School Complex better and safer routes by adding a series of wide sidewalks through Heritage Park and along East Pine Mountain Road.

Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department Public Meeting on Bel-Aire Pool to be held Tuesday, January 5th

 

Clarksville Parks and Recreation DepartmentClarksville, TN – Bel-Aire Pool is one of five public city pools in Clarksville. It was recently closed due to maintenance issues. Mark Tummons, Clarksville Parks and Recreation Director, says resident input will aid in the development of future plans for the pool.

“From this process, we hope to generate involvement from conception to completion,” Tummons says. “By interacting with citizens in real-time and having two-way communication we hope to create a high level of citizen engagement.”

Tennessee Department of Transportation to hold Public Input Meeting tomorrow

 

Montgomery County TennesseeMontgomery County, TN – Montgomery County Government is partnering with the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) to host a public input meeting, called a “Book a Planner” meeting, on Tuesday, October 28th at 5:00pm, at the William O. Beach Civic Hall, 350 Pageant Lane.

“Book-a-Planner” is an interactive outreach program and presentation, administered through the Long Range Planning Department’s Office of Community Transportation (OCT) staff.
