CDE Lightband continues repairing Fiber

 

Clarksville Department of Electricity - CDE - CDE LightbandClarksville, TN – CDE Lightband will continue fiber restoration Monday, November 4th, 2019 in areas where damaged fiber may affecting broadband services.

Fiber crews have made headway on reattaching downed cable lines to poles that were replaced during recovery from the October 26th wind storm. Several mainlines also have been restored throughout the City.

Crews are busy repairing broadband connectivity.

Clarksville Gas and Water Department - CGWClarksville, TN – Clarksville Gas and Water closed the outer westbound lane of Providence Boulevard between Peachers Mill Road and Shelby Street at 4:00pm this afternoon to repair a water main and water service line.

Westbound traffic will be directed to the inside lane to bypass the work zone; however, traffic congestion may be possible.

Tennessee State Fire MarshalNashville, TN – Free smoke alarms will be installed this week in Clarksville on Thursday, July 30th when volunteers take part in the the latest “Get Alarmed Tennessee” smoke alarm canvass.

Clarksville Police reports Two Children die in House Fire on Shelby Street

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – On Tuesday morning, July 7th, 2015 at approximately 4:15am emergency personnel from the Clarksville Police Department, Clarksville Fire Rescue, and Montgomery County EMS responded to the 400 Block of Shelby Street to a reported house fire.

When they arrived, heavy smoke and flames could be seen coming from the residence. Despite the efforts of emergency personnel, two children ages 9 and 11 died as a result of the fire.

Clarksville Gas and Water Department issues update on Lane Closures on Providence Boulevard

 

Monday, April 9th, 2012

Clarksville Gas and Water DepartmentClarksville, TN – Clarksville Gas and Water has reopened the southbound lanes on Providence Boulevard between Sinclair Drive and Shelby Street to traffic. The northbound lanes between Shelby Street and Cedar Court remain closed while the center turning lane has been reopened the center lane for northbound traffic.

Road repairs will be complete and all lanes will return to normal by approximately 6:00am tomorrow morning.

Clarksville Gas and Water DepartmentClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Gas and Water Department has closed the center turning lane and both northbound lanes of traffic on Providence Boulevard from Shelby Street to Sinclair Drive until approximately 7:00pm this evening.

The southbound lanes of Providence Boulevard between Shelby Street and Sinclair Drive will be designated for northbound and southbound traffic while road repairs are completed.

Clarksville Police charge Seven Men with Patronizing Prostitution in New Providence

 

Clarksville Police DepartmentClarksville, TN – On February 24th, 2012, the Clarksville Police Department’s Special Operations Unit partnered with uniformed officers from the Operation Defiance Coalition and female patrol officers acting in an undercover capacity as prostitutes to conduct an undercover operation in the New Providence Boulevard area, a location known for prostitution.

Power Outage Progress report

 

Clarksville Department of ElectricityClarksville, TN – Daniel Street, Shelton Street, Cumberland Drive, High Street, Crossland Avenue are back in service.

Crews are now working in the Pine Mountain Road area, Madison Street/Delmar Drive, Shelby Street, Earl Slate, Rossview, and South Senseney. 

We have a total of 16 crews working.
