Martin, TN – Austin Peay State University women’s basketball team saw its 2013-14 season come to an end in an historic performance by UT Martin, Saturday, at the Elam Center.
Behind 44 points from Heather Butler on the Skyhawks’ Senior Day, the Lady Govs saw their Ohio Valley Conference Tournament hopes evaporate in a 116-85 defeat.

Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay begins the regular season’s final week when it travels to league leading UT Martin for a 5:30pm, Thursday contest. Both teams bring a win streak into the outing.
The Lady Govs own a modest two-game win streak after posting an 88-81 overtime victory against Morehead State, Saturday. The Skyhawks currently own an impressive 10-game win streak after posting wins at Murray State (91-67, February 16th) and at Southeast Missouri (77-44, February 18th) last week.

Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay will look to build on its recent success when it hosts Morehead State in a 5:15pm, Saturday contest at the Dunn Center. Both teams enter the contest following Monday victories. The Lady Govs ended an eight-game losing streak with an impressive 85-72 victory at Murray State.
Morehead State posted only its second win in its last eight outings with a 79-60 victory against Jacksonville State. The Eagles visit Clarksville seeking a sweep of the regular-season series after posting a 74-67 victory, December 31st, in Morehead.

Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay begins a regular-season closing stretch of four games in 12 days when it travels to Murray State for a 7:00pm, Monday, contest. The Lady Govs won this season’s first meeting between the two teams, 71-63, January 7th. However, the two teams have gone in dramatically different directions since that meeting.
The Lady Govs will bring an eight-game losing streak into the contest and return to action following a six-day break after its 68-65 loss to Tennessee Tech, last Monday. Murray State has won seven of its 11 games since the first meeting and has won the first two games of its current four-game homestand.

Clarksville, TN – The horrible nightmare continues for Austin Peay’s Lady Govs and just doesn’t seem like it’s ever going to end.
This time Tennessee Tech was the culprit in handing the Lady Govs their eighth-straight loss and the 68-65 defeat Monday night further damaged the hopes Austin Peay has of even earning a spot in the season-ending Ohio Valley Conference Tournament.
Austin Peay Women’s Basketball vs. Tennessee Tech
Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay hosts Tennessee Tech in this season’s only meeting between the two rivals at 7:00pm, Monday at the Dunn Center. The contest will be the Lady Govs only game in a 12-day span, they return to the court after an 88-83 loss to UT Martin, Wednesday, and will not play again until a Monday, February 13th contest at Murray State.
Tennessee Tech will be playing the second game of a three-game road trip, winning a 62-50 decision at Jacksonville State, Saturday. It will be the 88th meeting between the two teams in a series that dates back to the 1970-71 season. The Golden Eagles have dominated the series 70-17 but the Lady Govs have been their equal since the 2000-01 season – the two teams splitting the 22 meetings in the new millennium.
Austin Peay Women’s Basketball vs. UT Martin Skyhawks
Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay returns home to start a two-game home stand when it hosts second-place UT Martin in a 7:00pm, Wednesday contest. The Lady Govs will seek to end their current six-game losing streak, which they saw extended courtesy a 69-60 loss at Southeast Missouri, Monday.
The Skyhawks have won four straight and will visit Clarksville fresh off a 105-90 victory against Tennessee State, Monday. Both teams will be playing their third game in five days in what has been an five-day quadrangular between APSU, UTM, Tennessee State and Southeast Missouri. Austin Peay has won its last eight home games against UT Martin, the Skyhawks last win at the Dunn Center coming during the 2001-02 season.

Nashville, TN – Austin Peay State University women’s basketball team was picked to finish fourth in the upcoming Ohio Valley Conference race by the league’s coaches and sports information directors, the league announced at its annual media day, Tuesday, at the Millennium Maxwell House. Senior guard Whitney Hanley was named to the league’s preseason all-conference squad.

Nashville, TN – Austin Peay State University women’s basketball team got off to a cold start and could not recover, dropping a 65-56 decision to Tennessee Tech in the Ohio Valley Conference Women’s Basketball Championship’s semifinal round, Friday afternoon, at Municipal Auditorium.
