Fort Campbell’s Lifeliners complete their Rendezvous with Destiny

 

101st Sustainment Brigade - LifelinersFort Campbell KY - 101st Airborne DivisionFort Campbell, KY – Soldiers of the 101st Sustainment Brigade, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), returned to Fort Campbell, Ky., Feb. 15, after successfully completing a nine-month deployment in Afghanistan. More than 280 members of the brigade headquarters and the 101st Special Troops Battalion have returned from deployment during the past month.

Before returning to Fort Campbell, the 101st Sustainment Brigade conducted a transfer of authority ceremony to the 10th Sustainment Brigade out of Fort Drum, N.Y.

Col. Charles R. Hamilton, the commander of the 101st Sustainment Brigade, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), led Soldiers from the brigade home after a nine-month deployment to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom Feb. 15, at Fort Campbell. Since it’s activation in 1943, Rakkasans have played a vital part in every major conflict in which our nation fought.

Fort Campbell’s 101st Sustainment Brigade’s ‘Vipers’ complete their Mission

Ali Al Salem, Kuwait – Soldiers with the 101st Human Resources Company Headquarters, 101st Special Troops Battalion, 101st Sustainment Brigade, are one step closer to coming home.

The company conducted their transfer of authority ceremony with the 18th Human Resources Company out of Fort Bragg, NC. They completed their nine-month deployment to Kuwait and are preparing to redeploy back to Fort Campbell, KY.

142nd Combat Sustainment Support Battalion takes over Mission; ‘Wagonmasters’ take the helm

101st Sustainment Brigade - LifelinersFort Campbell KY, 101st Airborne DivisionBagram Airfield, Afghanistan – The 17th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion ended their year-long deployment Thursday, May 26th, when they cased their colors and handed over their responsibility to the 142nd Combat Sustainment Support Battalion at a relief in place and transfer of authority ceremony.

The battalion, based out of Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, was assigned to the 101st Sustainment Brigade. They provided logistical support to nine task forces in the 14 provinces of Regional Command East and Capitol during their yearlong deployment in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.

Transfer of Authority from CJTF-101 to CJTF-1 – 101st Airborne Division Colors Cased

Fort Campbell KY, 101st Airborne DivisionBagram Airfield, Afghanistan – On May 19th, 2011 the Transfer of Authority Ceremony from combined Joint Task Force-101 to Combined Joint Task Force-1 took place at Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan.

General David H. Petraeus, Commander, U.S. Forces Afghanistan, was on hand for the ceremony and spoke with (outgoing) Major General John F. Campbell, Commander, Regional Command – East, as well as (incoming) Major General Daniel B. Allyn, Commander, Regional Command – East.
