Tennessee Titans last game against Kansas City Chiefs

 

Tennessee TitansNashville, TN – In Week 10 of the 2019 season, the Tennessee Titans hosted the Kansas City Chiefs and won by a score of 35-32.

Kansas City got on the board on their opening possession, with an 11-play, 69-yard scoring drive.

Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes connected with Chiefs TE Travis Kelce for a three-yard touchdown and an early 7-0 lead. On the following Tennessee possession, QB Ryan Tannehill was strip-sacked and the ball was recovered by Chiefs DE Tanoh Kpassagnon at the Titans 20-yard line. Kansas City capitalized on the turnover and added a field goal for a 10-0 lead.

In 1959, late Titans owner K.S. “Bud” Adams, Jr. and the late Lamar Hunt, founder of the Chiefs, spearheaded the “Foolish Club,” a group of eight original American Football League teams that would begin play in 1960.

Tennessee Titans, Kansas City Chiefs last meeting

 

Tennessee TitansNashville, TN – In Week 1 of the 2017 playoffs, the Tennessee Titans traveled to Kansas City to face the Chiefs on Wild Card weekend. Tennessee scored 19 unanswered points in the second half and did not allow the Chiefs to score in the third or fourth quarter, as the Titans won by a score of 22-21 and advanced to the Divisional Round.

Both the Chiefs and Titans punted on their opening possessions. On Kansas City’s second possession, Chiefs QB Alex Smith drove his offense down the field with help by a 45-yard reception from Chiefs WR Tyreek Hill and a 27-yard reception from Chiefs TE Travis Kelce.

Adams’ Oilers played in Houston until moving to Tennessee in 1997, while Hunt’s original Dallas Texans moved to Kansas City in 1963. In 1970, the AFL and NFL merged, and the Oilers and Chiefs became members of the American Football Conference.

Tennessee TitansNashville, TN – Entering the postseason for the first time in nine years, the Tennessee Titans (9-7) travel this week to face the Kansas City Chiefs (10-6) in the Wild Card Round. Kickoff at Arrowhead Stadium (capacity 76,416) is scheduled for 3:35pm CST on Saturday, January 6th, 2018.

This is the third time the two franchises have met in the postseason but the first since the Titans have played in Tennessee.

Tennessee TitansNashville, TN – The Tennessee Titans (1-2) conclude the preseason this week on the road against the Kansas City Chiefs (1-2). Kickoff at Arrowhead Stadium (capacity 76,416) is scheduled for 7:30pm CDT on Thursday, August 31st, 2017.

The game will be televised regionally on the Titans Preseason TV Network, including flagship WKRN-News 2 in Nashville.
