Clarksville Police reports Man dies when Front End Loader shifts on his Flatbed and comes to rest on the Cab

Clarksville, TN – On January 12th, 2013, around 4;00pm, a 66 year old man was driving north on Frosty Morn Drive hauling a front end loader on a flatbed trailer.

For an unknown reason, the loader shifted forward on the flatbed and continued until it came to rest on the cab of the tractor. The 66 year old driver was trapped inside and died at the scene from his injuries.

A crane had to be brought in from Hopkinsville, KY to remove the front end loader from the top of the cab.

The name will be released after notification of family members.

The lead investigator is Officer Melissa Spielhagen in cooperation with Tennessee Highway Patrol.
