APSU Women’s Golf
Old Hickory, TN – The first round of the Belmont Women’s Invitational was suspended due to a line of severe storms that hit Middle Tennessee and Old Hickory Country Club, Monday afternoon.
First-round play began 9:00am, Monday with a shotgun start for the tourney field that included Austin Peay. After nine holes of play, a line of severe storms hit the golf course and forced suspension of the first round until Tuesday morning.
Although round-one play is expected to reconvene 9:30am, Tuesday, with the second round to follow, tourney resumption could be delayed further as strong winds left several trees down on the course.
This is the Lady Govs’ fourth spring tournament.
