Clarksville Police requests assistance identifying Shoplifter that hit a store employee with his car while fleeing the scene

Clarksville Police DepartmentClarksville, TN – On April 14th, 2012, around 2:45pm, Clarksville Police responded to a shoplifting call at a store on the 2800 Block of Wilma Rudolph Boulevard. The loss prevention officer saw a male with a knife stealing clothing in the store and called police.

When the officer arrived, the shoplifter was running from the store and loss prevention chasing him. The suspect was chased around the parking lot and doubled back to the a dark green Dodge Magnum with a Kentucky Temporary tag.

The stores assistant manager attempted to stop the man after he entered the vehicle, but the man backed up and knocked the employee to the ground. The suspect then drove through recklessly through the parking lot to get away. The shoplifter took around $300.00 in merchandise.

The assistant manager sustained minor non–life threatening injuries.
