Clarksville Area Chamber of Commerce May Events

Clarksville Area Chamber of CommerceClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Area Chamber of Commerce announces upcoming events during the month of May.

The Great American Clean Up Day will be taking place in Clarksville-Montgomery County,  Saturday, May 5th.  Volunteers are encouraged to meet at the Montgomery County Courthouse at 8:00am that morning.

Some of the activities that are part of the effort include cleaning up parks and playgrounds, planting trees and flowers as well as participating in recycling drives. The event is an excellent opportunity for local residents to get involved and help improve the quality of life in the community.

On Tuesday, May 8th, the Chamber will be hosting its Annual Dinner and Gala. The reception begins at 5:30pm at Archwood and dinner will be in the Morgan Center at 7:00pm. This is always an exceptional event to recognize our leadership and members, applaud our accomplishments and get energized about the upcoming year.

There will also be the presentation of the 7th Annual Community Commitment Award as well as the Ambassador of the Year and the Chamber Lifetime Achievement Awards. Reservations are still available and cost $50.00 per person or $500.00 per table.

The Clarksville Young Professionals will be presenting the Third Annual Give a Kick Kickball Tournament on Saturday, May 12th at Swan Lake Sports Complex, 2002 Sanders Road. If you haven’t already registered, there is still time to sign up and compete for a good cause. The cost is $250.00 per team and all proceeds go to Imagination Library.

The Chamber’s Business after Hours will be held on Thursday, May 17th from 5:00pm-7:00pm. The event will be hosted by Gateway Credit Union, 100 Otis Smith Drive. Business After Hours is offered at no cost.

The 17th Annual Chamber Golf Scramble will take place at Swan Lake Golf Course, 581 Dunbar Cave Road on Thursday, May 31st. As always, for those who participate in this year’s scramble, there will be opportunities to win great prizes and giveaways.

This popular event will include lunch, provided by Jersey Mike’s Subs, before the 1:00pm shotgun start and dinner from Old Chicago after the tournament. The cost is $70.00 per player and those interested are encouraged to sign up early because spots will fill up fast.
