Clarksville Police Department is requesting assistance locating and identifying Suspect in a Kidnapping and Sexual Assault

Clarksville Police DepartmentClarksville, TN – Clarksville Police are investigating an allegation of Kidnapping and Sexual assault which occurred on May 28th, 2012 and need the public’s assistance locating a vehicle and suspect.

According to the victim, on May 28th, 2012, around 3:00am, she was walking to a friend’s house in the area of Evans’ Road when a man stopped and offered to give the 19 year old woman a ride to her friend’s house.

After she got in the vehicle, the man did not take her to the friend’s house, but took her to a field in the Garrettsburg Road/Evans Road area, hit her in the face with a blunt object, and then sexually assaulted her.  She was able to escape from her attacker at some point after the sexual assault

The vehicle was described as an older model blue truck, possibly a full size two door Chevrolet. The truck is very old and dirty with rust around the wheel wells. It is a standard shift truck with a bench seat. The seat has cracks in it. The truck should have a very cluttered interior and even has deer antlers inside the cab. The bed of the truck should have 10 gallon buckets, tarps and tools.

The suspect was described as a white male, dark brown or black curly/wavy hair, scruffy beard, discolored teeth, large belly, and wearing a dirty brown hat. His name may be “Gilbert” and could  possibly be involved with caring for horses.
