Clarksville High Wildcats baseball rallies in seventh to beat Station Camp 7-6

Clarksville High School WildcatsClarksville, TN – Clarksville High School’s baseball team scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh inning, April 11th, to rally past Station Camp High School in Day 2 of the William Workman Tournament for a 7-6 victory.

The Wildcats (17-3) led the Bison 5-1 heading into the top of the sixth inning, but Station Camp would take advantage of some CHS errors to score five runs against Wildcats starter Brady Cook to take a 6-5 lead.

But Clarksville High dug in and came up against Bison relief pitcher Jamie Haefele to score twice in its final at bat for the victory.

Gabe Bowling led the Wildcats with a 3-for-3 effort at the plate, with two RBI, while Landon Mosteller and Nolen Milton had two hits each.

Luke Chilcutt (2-1) got the win in relief, going the final one-and-two-thirds innings, giving up three this and striking out two.

Clarksville High continues play in the Workman Tournament April 12th, with two games, starting with a 11:00am match up versus Tullahoma High School with a 4:30pm game versus Christian County High School to close out the day’s action.
