Glencoe, AL – Austin Peay State University women’s golf team fashioned its best round of Chris Banister Golf Classic, Wednesday, but could not move up on the final day.
The Lady Govs shot a final-round 315 to end at 988, leaving them in the same place (11th) in which they began the day on the Mindbreaker/Heartbreaker at the Silver Lakes Golf Course.

Clarksville, TN – On Sunday, September 28th, 2014 at 2:16pm, the Clarksville Police Department responded to a Robbery at a business on North Second Street.
The owner of the business tripped the silent alarm when a white male carrying a knife asked to see an E-cigarette starter kit from the display case then demanded the money from the register. The owner gave him approximately $150.00 from the register in $1.00’s, $5.00’s and $10.00’s.
Clarksville, TN – On September 26th, 2014 at 9:18am, Detective Andy Hurst, from the Clarksville Police Department, responded to a False Report at a bank on Fort Campbell Boulevard.
Bernard Davis had bank employees call 911 for him and report that a man that was sitting outside of the bank in his vehicle tried to rob him. Davis told Officers that the male driver of the vehicle had a gun when he tried to rob him.
Tampa, FL – Gas prices remained relatively stagnant last week, falling a mere three hundredths of a cent nationwide. Refinery outages in both Canada and Texas have caused the steady decline in gasoline to come to a halt and even spike in some markets. The Pensacola metro area in Florida saw a 6 cent rise in the average price of gas.
“Refinery maintenance, especially in the Gulf, is causing the tightening of supplies is some areas,” said Josh Carrasco, spokesman, AAA – The Auto Club Group. “As a result of these refinery issues, the downward pressure on gas prices motorists saw earlier in the month has stopped.”

Motorists will be detoured to Excell Road during the work.

Clarksville, TN – The October 3rd deadline to register for Twilight Basketball men’s league is quickly approaching.
This new opportunity for basketball enthusiasts ages 18 and older, will be held at the Kleeman Community Center, located at 166 Cunningham Lane, on Saturdays October 17th-December 29th from 5:00pm to 10:00pm.
