Nashville, TN – For the first time since 2010, Austin Peay State University’s baseball team is scheduled to play nationally-ranked Vanderbilt, the teams agreeing to a 1:00pm, Tuesday, April 26th contest at Hawkins Field.

The Govs 2007 NCAA Tournament contest against the then No. 1 Commodores, a 2-1 11-inning Vandy win in a pitcher’s duel between the Governors Shawn Kelley and the Commodores’ David Price, ranks among APSU’s all-time greatest games.
The game was added to the schedule after the Govs two-game series at Arkansas State, March 8th-9th, was rained out, creating an opening in the schedule. It will be part of a busy stretch for the Govs who now will play eight games in 10 days from April 22nd-May 1st.
