APSU Men's GolfClarksville, TN – In its final tune-up ahead of the 2018 Ohio Valley Conference Men’s Golf Championships, Austin Peay State University men’s golf will travel to Spartanburg, South Carolina for the Coca-Cola Wofford Invitational at the Country Club of Spartanburg.

The par-72 course at the Country Club of Spartanburg plays at 6,648 yards and will be home to teams from Appalachian State, Army, Charleston Southern, East Tennessee State, Francis Marion, Longwood and Presbyterian, as well as the Govs and host Terriers this week.

The youth movement continues for the Govs this week, with three sophomores and two freshmen set to take the course as part of the Austin Peay lineup. Alex Vegh will slot in as the No. 1; he’s put together a top-10 finish in three of his four spring appearances.

Behind Vegh will be freshman Chase Korte and sophomores Austin Lancaster and Michael Busse. Freshman Garrett Whitfield, who led the Govs with a top-20 finish at last week’s Bubba Barnett Intercollegiate, will get another start in the lineup, with senior Hunter Tidwell playing as an individual this week.

The Govs will tee off at 8:00am (CT), with 36 holes set to be played Monday before a final 18 on Tuesday. The Govs will be paired with ETSU and Francis Marion, off Hole No.’s 1-4, to open play.
