Nashville, TN – A disappointing day in Smashville today as the visiting Colorado Avalanche muscled their way through the Nashville Predators, 5-0.
This is the final regular season meeting between the two teams, and the Predators were just outmatched from start to finish.
It wasn’t that the Predators didn’t have plenty of opportunity with 38 shots on goal, it’s just that they couldn’t get the puck in the net. Philipp Grubauer stood tall in net for the Avs, who beat the Chicago Blackhawks last night.

Colorado scored in the first period, and added two more goals in the second before adding two more in the third period for the 5-0 final.
As the NHL regular season winds down and teams are jockeying for position for the Stanley Cup playoffs, it’s quite possible that these two teams could face each other in the first round.
Nashville will have the day off tomorrow before returning to Bridgestone Arena on Monday night to face the Edmonton Oilers.
It’s Mike Fisher night on Monday night and the former captain will be honored throughout the game.
Puck drops at 7:00pm.
