Nashville, TN – The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Hard Freeze Warning for Clarksville-Montgomery County and parts of Middle Tennessee. The hard freeze warning is in effect from 10:00pm tonight until 9:00am Friday morning, April 2nd, 2021. A freeze warning is in effect from 1:00am to 9:00am Saturday morning.
For the Hard Freeze Warning, sub-freezing temperatures as low as 25 expected. For the Freeze Warning, sub-freezing temperatures as low as 29 expected.
Frost and freeze conditions will kill crops, other sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing.
Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold. To prevent freezing and possible bursting of outdoor water pipes they should be wrapped, drained, or allowed to drip slowly.
Those that have in-ground sprinkler systems should drain them and cover above-ground pipes to protect them from freezing.
