Clarksville, TN – Vernie Elvis Roe Harris, age 66 of Stewart, TN, passed away Thursday, June 4th, 2026 at his residence.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 12:00pm Saturday, June 13th, 2026 at the Chapel of Nave Funeral Home with Bro. Bill Wolfe officiating. Burial will follow in Harris Cemetery where full military honors will be rendered.
Family will receive friends on Friday from 4:00pm until 8:00pm, and again from 10:00am until the hour of service Saturday at noon.
Vernie entered this life on August 29th, 1959 in Clarksville, TN, son to the late Isac and Thelma Harris. Vernie faithfully served his country in the United States Marine Corps and had a love for deer hunting, riding horses, and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. Vernie was a loving husband, father, and papaw to his family; he will be greatly missed.
In addition to his parents, Vernie was preceded in death by numerous siblings.
Survivors include his loving wife of 43 years, Norma Reynolds Harris; children, Vernie Shawn Harris, Kevin Lee Harris, Victoria Campbell; siblings, Joe Wayne Harris, Jerry Dale Harris, and Renee Gatewood. Vernie also leaves behind ten precious grandchildren.
Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
