Clarksville Gas and Water Department - CGWClarksville, TN – Clarksville Gas and Water Department sewer main line rehabilitation contractors will be working on Colt Drive and 101st Airborne Division Parkway starting on Monday, July 13th, 2020 through Friday, July 17th, 2020.

Colt Drive and 101st Airborne Division Parkway will be open to traffic; however, motorists are advised to be alert to workers and their equipment while traveling through the work areas.

Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office reports Paris Gun Store Burglary suspects arrested in Clarksville

 

Montgomery County Sheriff's Office - MCSOClarksville, TN – The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office with the assistance of the Clarksville Police Department and Tennessee Highway Patrol apprehended three adults and two juveniles in connection to a gun store burglary.

The burglary occurred at JMC Firearms in Paris, Tennessee at approximately 4:28am on Monday, March 16th, 2020. The suspect vehicle was pursued by the Stewart County Sheriff’s Office and was picked up by Montgomery County Deputies at the Stewart and Montgomery County line on Dover Road. Deputies effectively deployed spike strips as the vehicle continued east on Dover Road.

Clarksville Police report Deceased Man Found, No Indication of Foul Play

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Clarksville Police say that around 9:30am a man, believed to be in 50s, was found deceased in an area laden with trees and bushes near the southbound Fort Campbell Boulevard on-ramp to the 101st Airborne Division Parkway.

There are no indications of foul play at this time.

As in any unattended death, the case is being investigated as a homicide.

Clarksville Police reports Man Falls Out of the Back of a Pickup Truck

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Clarksville Police report a little after midnight, a 19 year old man was found laying on the 101st Airborne Division Parkway roadway between Fort Campbell Boulevard and Jordan Road. Police found him in the roadway, alone, after a couple of passerbys had called the 911 center.

The 19 year old was taken by Lifeflight to a Nashville hospital in critical condition; the man had road rash but no indicators of an assault. At that time, what had happened and the man’s identity were unknown.

Clarksville Police report Two Men Shot While in Moving Vehicle

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Clarksville Police are processing a crime scene near 101st Airborne Division Parkway at the intersection of Peachers Mill Road and McClardy Road.

Based on information provided by witnesses, around 3:30pm, a white Dodge Charger with two men inside, was traveling south on Peachers Mill Road when a male inside of another white Dodge Charger, 2000s model, also traveling south started shooting at the two men.

City of Clarksville roadways to fly American Flags

 

City of Clarksville - Clarksville, TNClarksville, TN – Motorists in the City of Clarksville will notice a patriotic display of Old Glory adorning City Hall and several of the City’s major thoroughfares just in time for Independence Day.

Over the past two weeks, the Clarksville Street Department has placed 184 flags to honor America and its service members, veterans and their families.

Roger Williams, a Clarksville Street Department technician, places a new American Flag at City Hall while Mayor Joe Pitts, Street Department staff Tommy Allbert, Tim Halbrooks and Brian Nelson, and Military Liaison Bill Harpel show pride in the effort to beautify the City with our country’s most patriotic symbol.

Clarksville City Council is asked to approve $2.85 million in FY20 budget

In response, Clarksville Mayor Joe Pitts has asked the City Council to approve funding in the Fiscal Year 2020 budget for money to keep the project moving forward.

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – The 2019 National Police Week (NPW) is May 12th through May 18th. The Clarksville-Montgomery County local Law Enforcement Memorial Ceremony will be held Friday, May 17th, 2019, 10:30am at Clarksville Police Headquarters, 135 Commerce Street. The public is invited to attend.

U.S. President John F. Kennedy signed Public Law 87-726 designating May 15th as Peace Officers’ Memorial Day back in 1962, and the week in which May 15th falls as National Police Week.
