Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Police Department has identified the driver who was killed in a single-vehicle crash Monday morning on 101st Airborne Division Parkway near Trenton Road.
The driver was identified as Christopher Prewitt, 54, of Clarksville, Tennessee. His next of kin has been notified.
The crash occurred at approximately 5:20am on the eastbound lanes of 101st Airborne Division Parkway near the intersection with Trenton Road. According to the Clarksville Police Department, the crash involved a single vehicle, a Honda Ridgeline, which left the roadway.
The driver was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center Clarksville following the crash, where he was tragically pronounced deceased.
In an earlier update, police said it appeared the driver may have suffered a medical emergency that led to the collision. The crash remains under investigation by the department’s Fatal Accident Crash Team (FACT).
The roadway was cleared at approximately 8:10am, after eastbound traffic was impacted while investigators processed the scene.
