Aspire Clarksville Foundation Announces $4.4 Million Campaign Achievement

Clarksville-Montgomery County Economic Development Council names Mike Evans New Executive Director

 

Clarksville-Montgomery County Economic Development CouncilClarksville, TN – The Clarksville-Montgomery County, Tennessee Economic Development Council (EDC) extended an offer to Michael J. Evans (Mike) this Thursday morning to assume the reins as the Executive Director of the Economic Development Council. Evans will step into the role effective immediately.

The EDC was established in 1996, and currently promotes economic growth and development of Clarksville-Montgomery County.

Montgomery County Visitor Spending Tops $205 Million in 2015

 

Visit Clarksville TennesseeClarksville, TN – Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam and Department of Tourist Development Commissioner Kevin Triplett today announced Tennessee tourism’s direct domestic and international travel expenditures reached an all-time high of $18.4 billion in 2015, up 3.7 percent over the previous year, as reported by the U.S. Travel Association.

Numbers for Montgomery County increased to $205.1 million, up 1.3% over 2014.

Cooke previously served as chairman of the board in 2006-07, 2001-02 and 1997-98, and has served on the board of directors for a total of nine years since 1996.

Matt Cunningham Reveals Designs for New Distillery in Clarksville

 

Old Glory DistillingClarksville, TN – Construction of the Old Glory Distillery has begun on Alfred Thun road and the President of Old Glory Distilling Co., Matt Cunningham shared designs, future products and his motivations to start the project in a presentation at the Hilton Garden Inn, Friday, February 6th.

Several people including Tennessee Senator Mark Green and the Executive Director of the Clarksville Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) Theresa Harrington were in attendance and spoke along with Cunningham at the event.
