Downtown Artists Co-op to exhibit “Wanderings” by Leah Foote and Connie Livingston-Dunn in May

 

Clarksville Downtown Artists Co-op (DAC)Clarksville, TN – Downtown Artists Co-op (DAC) is proud to announce ‘Wanderings’, an exhibit by member artists Leah Foote and Connie Livingston-Dunn. Glenda Rohner will also exhibit an installation art piece named “influence” in DAC’s window galleries this month.

The opening reception will be on Thursday, May 5th from 5:00pm till 8:00pm. “Wanderings” and “influence” will be on display through May 28th.

Leah and Connie titled their show Wanderings because that word fits so perfectly with their styles of art. Both find that, similar to the exploration of new locales and settings, their journeys in art are explorations of new subjects and techniques.

December’s First Thursday ArtWalk

 

Historic Downtown Clarksville You’re invited to join the merchants of Historic Downtown Clarksville for The monthly Art Walk, on November 5th from 5 – 8 p.m.

The December First Thursday Art Walk is bigger than ever this month with exhibits from over 40 artists in 9 different venues, including the Customs House Museum, and the brand new Austin Peay Downtown Art Gallery.

Come spend an delightful evening with many of the best artists in Clarksville-Montgomery County.

APSU Art Department Faculty to Display Work at New Downtown Gallery

 

APSU Downtown Art Gallery One of the reasons Austin Peay State University opened a gallery in downtown Clarksville was to offer its department of art faculty with an off-campus venue to display their work.

A little less than a month after that space first opened, these professors are doing just that. At 5 p.m. on Dec. 3, the APSU Department of Art Faculty Exhibit opens with a reception to correspond with the First Thursday Art Walk through downtown Clarksville. DAC hosts “Les Fauvres Clarksville”

 

dac-galleryThe Downtown Artists Cooperative will host a  group show, “Les Fauves Clarksville”,  which will hang in the DAC Gallery, 96 Franklin Street, Historic Downtown Clarksville,  from January 8th-31st.

An opening  reception will be held Thursday  night, January 8th, from  5:00-7:00 p.m.

The fifteen artists showing are: Terri Jordan, Tammy Dohner, Malcolm
Glass, Mitzi Cross, Peggy Bonnington, Gail Meyer, Heidi Hopkins,
Connie Livingston-Dunn, Winnie Bagley, Lynn Stanley, Kathleen Chute,
Martha Yanchyshyn, Eunice Kern,   Betty Liles, and Nada Fuqua.

If you can’t make the opening reception, please stop by some other time during the month of January.  Gallery hours are noon to 6:00 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday.
