Tennessee Volunteers - UT VolsKnoxville, TN – No. 18/17 Tennessee Vols Football will look to bounce back from last weekend’s road setback this Saturday when the Vols host longtime SEC East rival Kentucky at Neyland Stadium.

Despite having their SEC-leading eight-game win streak snapped at the Georgia Bulldogs, the Vols still carry a five-game home winning streak into Saturday’s contest against the Wildcats.

A limited number of tickets for Saturday’s game are still available and can be purchased at AllVols.com. Gates open to the public two hours prior to kickoff at 9:00am.

Tennessee Vols Football come up short against South Carolina, 27-24

Tennessee Volunteers - UT VolsColumbia, SC – Tennessee Vols Football fell to South Carolina on Saturday night as the Gamecocks rallied to take a late, 27-24 lead at Williams-Brice Stadium.

With the loss, Tennessee holds a 3-5 (1-4 SEC) record while the Gamecocks move to 4-3 (3-3 SEC).

The Vols were led offensively by redshirt sophomore quarterback Jarrett Guarantano who completed 27-of-39 passes for 207 yards and two touchdowns. Sophomore running back Tim Jordan led the ground attack with 12 attempts for 62 yards while junior wide receiver Marquez Callaway had nine receptions for 86 yards to lead the receiving corps.

Tennessee Volunteers - UT VolsKnoxville, TN – Tennessee Vols Football will look to improve to 2-1 on the season this Saturday afternoon when the Volunteers host the UTEP Miners at Neyland Stadium.

Kickoff for Saturday’s contest is slated for 11:00amn CT on the SEC Network with Dave Neal (play-by-play) and DJ Shockley (analyst) calling the action in the booth and Dawn Davenport reporting from the sidelines. Vol Network radio affiliates will have a live audio broadcast with Bob Kesling, Tim Priest and Brent Hubbs. Sirius (Channel 98) and XM satellite radio (Channel 190) will also carry the game.

Tennessee Volunteers - UT VolsKnoxville, TNJeremy Pruitt earned his first win as a collegiate head coach in dominant fashion as the Tennessee Vols defeated in-state foe East Tennessee State 59-3 Saturday evening at Neyland Stadium.

“To me, I don’t see this any different than any game I’ve ever coached in,” Pruitt said. “I’m happy we won, and you’ll find out (about me) the more games we win, I’m a little more ticked. There’s a standard we want to play to. Everything wasn’t perfect this week. Everything wasn’t perfect in the last couple of days, and we were trying to get things right. We’re learning from it, and I think it’ll make us a better football team, and it’s going to make us a better football program.”

Tennessee Football gets ready for season opener against East Tennessee State

Tennessee Volunteers - UT VolsKnoxville, TN – Tennessee football head coach Jeremy Pruitt is excited to get back on the practice field and continue to coach his young Volunteers squad in the wake of Saturday’s season-opening loss to No. 17/20 West Virginia at the Belk College Kickoff in Charlotte, NC.
 
“Every week’s important for us,” Pruitt said. “We have got to take every week as an opportunity to improve as individuals and as a football team. I think we will do a better job as a coaching staff getting them ready for the next week. We have to develop depth on our football team at lots of different positions, so it will be all be important, all the practice reps we get every week throughout the season”

UT Football loses to #17 West Virginia

Tennessee Volunteers - UT VolsCharlotte, NC – Tennessee Vols Football fell to No. 17 West Virginia, 40-14, to open the 2018 season Saturday in the Belk College Kickoff at Bank of America Stadium.
 
The Volunteers now turn their focus to next Saturday’s home-opener against ETSU. Kickoff for that contest—which marks first-year UT head coach Jeremy Pruitt‘s Neyland Stadium debut—is set for 3:00pm CT (SEC Network).
 
All-American West Virginia quarterback Will Grier led a high-powered Mountaineers offense that came to life in the second half—scoring 27 points over the final 30 minutes. Grier finished the game having completed 25 of 34 passes for 429 yards and five touchdowns.

#21 Tennessee Vols beat Nebraska Cornhuskers 38-24 in the Music City Bowl

Tennessee Volunteers - UT VolsNashville, TN Joshua Dobbs racked up 409 yards of total offense and four touchdowns, Derek Barnett set a new Tennessee sack record and the No. 21 Tennessee Volunteers took a 38-24 win over the Nebraska Cornhuskers in the 2016 Franklin American Mortgage Music City Bowl on Friday at Nissan Stadium.

Tennessee (9-4) led from start to finish and posted 521 yards of offense thanks to Dobbs’ outstanding career finale. Dobbs, who was named MVP of the game, ran for 118 yards and three scores on 11 carries and finished 23-of-38, throwing for 291 yards and one touchdown.

Tennessee Vols Football takes care of Missouri, 63-37

Tennessee Volunteers - UT VolsKnoxville, TN – In his final game at Neyland Stadium, senior quarterback Joshua Dobbs accounted for five touchdowns to lead the Tennessee Volunteers to a 63-37 victory over the Missouri Tigers on Saturday.

Dobbs passed for 223 yards and three touchdowns on Senior Day. He rushed for two more scores — including a career-long 70-yard breakaway touchdown gallop down the Missouri sideline — to finish with a career-best 413 total yards.

Tennessee Volunteers - UT VolsColumbia, SC – South Carolina played turnover-free football in front of a feverish home crowd while handing 18th-ranked Tennessee a 24-21 loss Saturday night at Williams-Brice Stadium.

The Volunteers (5-3, 2-3 SEC) committed three costly turnovers while absorbing their third straight loss.

The Vols return home to Neyland Stadium next weekend when they host Tennessee Tech for homecoming. Kickoff is set for 4:00pm ET on the SEC Network alternate channel. A limited number of tickets remain and can be purchased by visiting AllVols.com or calling 1.800.332.8657.
