Clarksville Downtown Market to hold “FUEL the Bus” event this Saturday

 

FUEL Program provides food for children in need

Clarksville Parks and Recreation DepartmentClarksville, TN – Clarksville Police and the City of Clarksville are hosting the second annual “FUEL the Bus” event from 8:00am to 1:00pm on Saturday, August 8th, 2020 at the Clarksville Downtown Market.

The food-collection event supports the FUEL Program, a non-profit that provides take-home meals to thousands of Clarksville-Montgomery County School System (CMCSS) students who may not otherwise have access to food at home. The program increased its efforts in March to ensure children in need are receiving food during school closures caused by the COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic.

FUEL Program in urgent need for Donations to provide Meals to Children

 

F.U.E.L.Clarksville, TN – The FUEL Program provides take-home meals to thousands of Clarksville-Montgomery County School System (CMCSS) students who may not otherwise have access to food at home. Since the schools closed March 12th, 2020 because of the COVID-19 Coronavirus crisis, FUEL has continued to provide meals to children, and each week the need has grown.

Clarksville Association of Realtors SOS Foundation to Hold Flash Fundraiser for F.U.E.L

 

Clarksville Association of REALTORSClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Association of Realtors Spreading Our Support (S.O.S.) Foundation is announcing a flash fundraiser with the mission of providing funds to F.U.E.L., a local organization that provides meals to children outside of school.

In light of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Pandemic, the Clarksville Association of Realtors was forced to postpone their annual Appetite For Art Fundraiser that supports F.U.E.L, leaving them without funds they depend on this time of year.

(Full of Emmaus Love) a check for $13,541.71 at its quarterly General Membership Meeting. The money was raised during CAR’s annual Appetite for Arts fundraiser held on April 13th.

The Block Party was complete with silent auction, inflatables, live entertainment, games, vendors, and much more. Fresh from the grill hamburger and hot dog lunches were served with all proceeds going to the program.

The Liberty Park Grill opens to the public today

 

Ribbon Cutting and VIP Sneak Preview held at Liberty Park Grill on Saturday

Liberty Park GrillClarksville, TN – The Liberty Park Grill opens today at 11:00am. The new restaurant serving Liberty Park held a official ribbon-cutting with the Clarksville Area Chamber of Commerce on Saturday in conjunction with a VIP preview of the new restaurant.

Restaurant manager Robert Bowlby took a few minutes to speak with Clarksville Online before the ceremony. “We’re so proud to be here! Clarksville is such a wonderful place, it’s a wonderful community,” he said.

“My family and I are just now getting to know the area but we like what we seen so far. It has a lot of history, a lot of unique things to do like the free movies in the park, the Downtown Farmers Market, the Roxy Regional Theatre. All very unique and exciting venues for us to discover as a family.”
