Topic: EKU Lady Colonel Classic
Chelsea Harris, the greatest women’s golfer in program history; Drake Reed, an all-time great who conquered the OVC during one of the most dominant eras of APSU basketball; and Ron Sebree, a vaunted lineman for the 1977 Ohio Valley Conference football team, were inducted along with the late Tom Lincoln, a star on the hardwood and the gridiron in the late 1940s, who was this year’s Honors category recipient. Lady Govs 2011-12 Golf ScheduleAPSU Sports: Women’s Golf
The Lady Govs will be participating in 11 tournaments in 2011-12—six in the fall and five in the spring. Only the Lady Govs’ spring break tournament schedule is still to be determined. Harris earns first-team All-OVC golf for third straightAPSU Women’s Golf
Her selection was announced Thursday night at the annual banquet following first-round OVC tournament play, for a second straight year being played at GreyStone Golf Club. Murray State’s Delaney Howson has been named the 2010-11 Ohio Valley Conference Freshman of the Year for women’s golf. That award, along with the All-OVC and All-Newcomer squads, were announced Thursday. Lady Govs golf set to play final regular-season tourney at EKUAPSU Women’s Golf
The tourney will begin with an 8:30am shotgun start each day on the par-72, 5,801-yard layout. The 13-team field will represent 12 schools (host Eastern Kentucky will play two teams), including six Ohio Valley Conference members. In addition to APSU and EKU, Morehead State, Murray State, Tennessee State and Tennessee Tech will participate.
