Northfield Eye Care becomes Clarksville-Montgomery County Green Certified

 

Clarksville-Montgomery County Green Certification ProgramMontgomery County, TN – On Wednesday, July 22nd, 2020 the Clarksville-Montgomery County Green Certification Program held a green ribbon cutting to celebrate Northfield Eye Care joining the Program. The ribbon cutting was attended by Montgomery County Mayor Jim Durrett, Clarksville Mayor Joe Pitts, Green Certification Program Board Members and Northfield Eye Care doctors and staff.

Northfield Eye Care, which opened in early 2020 and is a sister office to Sango Eye Care, is unique in that it obtained Green Certification while the office building was being constructed.

Richview Middle School becomes Clarksville-Montgomery County Green Certified

 

Clarksville-Montgomery County Green Certification ProgramMontgomery County, TN – On Tuesday, January 21st, 2020, a green ribbon cutting was held to welcome Richview Middle School to the Green Certification Program. Richview Middle becomes the first middle school in the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System (CMCSS) to complete the Program.

The ribbon cutting ceremony included remarks by Richview Middle Energy Champion Jason Groppel, Richview Middle Principal Lisa Baker, CMCSS Director of Schools Millard House II and Montgomery County Mayor Jim Durrett.

Arcadia Senior Living becomes Clarksville-Montgomery County Green Certified

 

Clarksville-Montgomery County Green Certification ProgramMontgomery County, TN – The latest local business to join the Clarksville-Montgomery County Green Certification Program is Arcadia Senior Living. A green ribbon cutting was held on August 26th, 2019 to celebrate its achievement. The ribbon cutting was attended by Clarksville Mayor Joe Pitts, Program Manager Carlye Sommers and Program Board Members Daryl Pater, Gene Fish, Doug Jones and Melinda Shepard.

Arcadia is the first senior living facility to join the Green Certification Program. Jackie Stone, Executive Director and her staff have worked to create a sustainable building that promotes sustainability not only with staff but also with residents. Common areas of the facility are 95% LED lit and the majority include occupancy sensors.

City of Clarksville, Montgomery County took on Fort Campbell in Annual Tobacco Stick Softball Game

 

Montgomery County Government TennesseeMontgomery County, TN – Clarksville Mayor Joe Pitts recently joined forces with Montgomery County Mayor Jim Durrett in an effort to put together a softball team made up of city and county employees who could compete with the always hard-to-beat Fort Campbell team.

The occasion was the 10th Annual Tobacco Stick Softball Game, a friendly afternoon of softball at Heritage Park that promotes more camaraderie than competition among our local government employees, and the Soldiers that serve our nation.

The best of Clarksville-Montgomery County and Fort Campbell came out to compete in the 10th Annual Tobacco Stick Softball Game.
