Nashville Sounds have releases their 2020 Schedule

 

Nashville Sounds Open Campaign on April 9th at First Horizon Park

Nashville SoundsNashville, TN – The Nashville Sounds Baseball Club has announced its 2020 schedule, complete with home and away game times for all 140 games.

The 43rd season in club history begins at First Horizon Park on Thursday, April 9th as the Sounds host the Iowa Cubs at 6:35pm. Opening Day is part of a season-opening five-game homestand. It’s the second consecutive season the Sounds begin the season in Nashville.

“We’re already looking forward to and planning an exciting 2020 season for the best fans in Minor League Baseball,” said Sounds General Manager Adam Nuse.

APSU Baseball releases Govs Summer Update

 

APSU BaseballClarksville, TN – The Austin Peay State University (APSU) baseball team has several athletes playing on teams across the country as the summer collegiate baseball league season enters its final weeks as July comes to a close.

Incoming infielder Skyler Luna will join his Hays Larks teammates as they compete in the 84th National Baseball Congress World Series, starting Friday in Wichita, Kansas.

UT Lady Vols Basketball get 58-51 win over Wichita State

UT Lady VolsWichita, KS – Bashaara Graves and Andraya Carter both scored 12 second-half points to lead No. 16/15 Tennessee to a hard-fought 58-51 win over Wichita State on Friday night at Charles Koch Arena.

The game marked the first road contest this season for the Lady Vols after opening the year with eight consecutive home games at Thompson-Boling Arena.

The Big Orange (7-2) got big performances from two of its most experienced players in Graves and Carter.

Austin Peay State University Governors - APSUAuburn, AL – If Austin Peay State University senior Marco Iten could throw out holes No. 9 and 18, he would be sitting alone atop the leaderboard at the NCAA Auburn Regional.

But even with a double bogey on the front nine’s final hole and a bogey on the course’s final hole, Iten is tied for fourth after Thursday’s Day 1 of the regional, being played at the Auburn University Club.

Austin Peay State University GovernorsIndianapolis, IN – Austin Peay State University’s baseball team will continue its postseason trek with a trip to Eugene, Oregon for the Regional Rounds of the 2012 NCAA Baseball Championship.

The Govs will travel west to face the Oregon Ducks, which received the No. 5 National Seed in the tournament. Joining them will be Indiana State and Cal State Fullerton.

Fort Campbell, KY – More than a year in Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom 2010-2011, Soldiers of 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division finally returned home.

Dog Handlers and Tactical Explosive Detection Dogs (TEDDs) with Strike Brigade returned home to Fort Campbell, August 24th and September 15th as part of the brigade’s final redeployment.

“I’m extremely proud of each of them,” said Maj. Christine Lancia, the Provost Marshall during 2nd BCT’s recent deployment, and native of Akron, Ohio. “The TEDDs team performed superbly. We asked a lot from them and they performed their mission day in and day out successfully.”
