APSU Men’s Football
Clarksville, TN – Josh Roberts, who served as Austin Peay State University’s running backs coach since 2006, has resigned his position to pursue further education endeavors.
The Clarksville native has indicated he is planning to return to school to pursue an athletics administration future.

“Josh has been a tremendous asset to this football staff,” APSU coach Rick Christophel said. “He developed into a really good football coach and one heck of a recruiter.
“He is making a decision that is best for his future. He has great administrative skills and is making this move while he is young. Wherever he lands, he will be successful.”
Roberts, who played locally at Northeast High School, enjoyed a solid football career at Lambuth, where he played fullback and was a tight end/H-back.
Christophel quickly will evaluate his staff’s composition and look to fill the position as soon as possible.
