First Advantage Bank is the largest SBA lender (in loan volume) among community banks in the midstate and is one of 12 SBA award winners statewide. It is the only lender in Tennessee to receive an award in the community outreach category.

“The Financial Services Champion of the Year Award recognizes organizations for their financial education and involvement in the small business community. First Advantage Bank was honored above and beyond some vigorous competition for its support of entrepreneurs and small business owners.

We applaud their efforts and are pleased to recognize them with the award,” said Walter Perry, Tennessee District Director for the SBA.

The Tennessee Small Business Development Center at Austin Peay State University in Clarksville nominated First Advantage Bank for the award. The two organizations partnered recently to deliver a free workshop series offering training and education to entrepreneurs and small business owners.

When a small business is starting or an existing business is looking to expand, they need working capital, and many business owners don’t understand how to apply for a business loan, the required collateral, available terms, or other important details about the process.

“We support small businesses by educating them on their financing options and requirements, and helping them gain the financial literacy they need to be more successful. We consider it part of our role as a partner and advisor in the community, not just a lender. It is a privilege to serve small businesses, and an honor to receive the SBA award,” said Earl Bradley, CEO of First Advantage Bank.

The SBA issued awards during December as part of its annual Small Business Week activities throughout the state.

First Advantage Bank is headquartered in Clarksville, Tennessee and operates seven branches in Clarksville, Nashville, and Franklin, specializing in small business lending.
