Clarksville, TN – Cancer is a horrible reality that many families face. It is particularly horrible when it affects children. On July 6th, 2018 Josh and Katie Thornhill received the call telling them that their son, Marcus, has an aggressive brain cancer that it is inoperable because of where it is located.
Marcus is a resilient 5 year old that is showing he is #MarcusStrong. He is fighting this cancer and determined to win. Marcus has been in radiation going on 6 weeks at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital. He is almost done with this phase of treatment and will soon move on to chemotherapy.
Clarksville, TN – During October’s Breast Cancer Awareness month, Convenient Car Care Inc. of Clarksville held a campaign to raise money for cancer awareness. During the month, they accepted donations from their customers at their Valvoline Instant Oil Change and Valvoline Complete Car Care facilities in Clarksville, Nashville, and Kentucky.
“During the month of October, we donated $2.00 of every oil change that came through our stores as well as excepted donations from our customers that went directly to Pearl Point Cancer Support,” said Candace Ursery, President of Convenient Car Care Inc.

The event was an opportunity to celebrate the Christmas season and recognize team members, who have performed above and beyond the standards established by the company.
Doug Wall, owner of Convenient Car Care Inc., welcomed everyone to the event by expressing his appreciation and praise for all employees within the company.

The award was inspired by the Clarksville company, after Valvoline realized just how much community involvement was part of the franchisee’s success.
Marshall Wheaton, Franchise Business Consultant with Valvoline, spearheaded the award after recognizing the community work that was being done by Convenient Car Care Inc. in Clarksville. In presenting the award at the annual corporate workshop, he shared why the Clarksville based corporation was the hands down choice to receive the very first Samaritan Spirit Award.

It’s because of that experience that Doug and Vickie Wall, and their daughter, Candace Ursery, used their company resources to help make lives a little easier for those who will hear those words, “You’ve got Cancer.”
Clarksville, TN – When Doug Wall, owner of Convenient Car Care Inc. of Clarksville, decided to have his company dedicate the month of October to raising awareness and money for the Sarah Cannon Cancer Research Institute, little did he know what an impact it would have.
“My family has been affected by this disease, and it’s a terrible thing. I would do anything to help find a cure,” Wall told Clarksville Online. “My mother and grand-mother both suffered with it. I know what a terrible disease it is, first-hand” said Wall.

In an effort to provide a more convenient location for all of their automotive products and services, Candace Ursery, President of Convenient Car Care Inc. said the opening of their new facility would better serve their customers, and provide more products and services at one location.
“We have partnered with Valvoline to launch this new automotive service center, and expect that our customers will enjoy being able to get all of the automotive service needs met at one location. We think that being a one-stop shop for anything from an oil change to transmission repair will be something that the consumer will appreciate and depend on” said Ursery.

Clarksville, TN – It’s been a brutally cold winter in Clarksville, and with the prospects of more winter weather, the need to help those less fortunate becomes critical.
Convenient Car Care Inc., owners and operators of the Valvoline Instant Oil Change franchise, stepped up their game in the month of January by offering to collect winter coats and blankets for Room in the Inn, and raise money for Manna Cafe. Both organizations work with the people in our community who need our help the most, the homeless.
