Lady Govs golf team earns OVC Team Academic Achievement Award for third straight yearAPSU Sports
The award is presented annually in each Conference-sponsored sport to the member institution’s team with the greatest percentage of its eligible student-athletes who achieved a 3.25 grade-point average or higher—OVC Commissioner’s Honor Roll. The Lady Govs golf team had seven of its student-athletes earn such distinction. With the Ohio Valley Conference tournament just two weeks away and Austin Peay State University women’s golf team playing in its final regular-season tournament, Harris shot a one-under 71-the Sunday’s low 18-hole score-to finish second in the EKU Lady Colonel Invitational. Lady Govs golf tied for eighth in rain-delayed EKU InvitationalAPSU Women’s Golf
The tourney was delayed more than three hours by rain storms that swept through eastern Kentucky. As a result, the second round was not completed. In fact, the Lady Govs were still on holes 14 and 15 when darkness ended the competition.
