Tennessee TitansNashville, TN – The Tennessee Titans (1-0) play their home opener this week against the AFC South rival Indianapolis Colts (0-1). Kickoff at Nissan Stadium (capacity 69,134) is scheduled for noon CDT on Sunday, September 15th, 2019.

At halftime of the game, controlling owner Amy Adams Strunk and the Titans will retire Steve McNair’s No. 9 jersey and running back Eddie George’s No. 27 jersey. They will become the seventh and eighth players in franchise history to have their numbers retired. Among the 31 other NFL clubs, there is not another No. 9 or No. 27 jersey retired.

Tennessee Titans series history against Cleveland Browns

 

Tennessee TitansNashville, TN – This week’s game marks the 67th all-time meeting between the Tennessee Titans and Cleveland Browns. In the previous 66 outings, the Browns own a 35-31 advantage, including separate nine- and six-game winning streaks by the Browns.

The Titans’ nine-game losing streak against the Browns from 1970-74 is tied (Oakland, 1966-73) for the second-longest in franchise history. The clubs have played one playoff game, a 24-23 Wild Card win by the Oilers in 1988.

Tennessee Titans release 2019 Training Camp Schedule for Fans

 

Tennessee TitansNashville, TN – The Tennessee Titans 2019 Training Camp begins in July and features nine open practices for fans to watch. There will be a night practice at Nissan Stadium on Saturday, August 3rd. On August 14th and 15th, the Titans will practice with the New England Patriots.

Admission is free to all the open practices for fans. All practices, except the August 3rd practice, are held at the Saint Thomas Sports Park located at 460 Great Circle Road in Nashville Tennessee.

The women’s tennis team continued their undefeated run this season, improving to 22-0 overall – the only undefeated team left in NCAA Division I – by winning their two matches at the OVC Championship Tournament to win the conference’s title and punch their ticket into the NCAA Championship Tournament.

APSU FootballClarksville, TN – The Austin Peay State University (APSU) football team has added four assistant coaches for the 2018 season: Brandon Jackson, Rod Ojung, Fred Tate and Turner West.

Jackson, who will serve as the running backs coach for the Governors, comes to APSU after spending one season coaching receivers at Tusculum.
