Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Titans (0-0) travel to Denver this week to open their season against the Broncos (0-0) on Monday Night Football. The game marks the Titans’ first Monday night season opener in franchise history. Kickoff at Empower Field at Mile High is scheduled for 8:20pm MDT/9:20pm CDT on September 14th, 2020.
It will be the third season opener in franchise history against the Broncos and the first in 48 years. The last time was a 30-17 Oilers loss at Denver in 1972, preceded by an Oilers home win in 1966.
Nashville, TN – The National Football League (NFL) has released the 2020 regular season schedule, and the Tennessee Titans will be featured in three primetime contests, including an appearance on Monday Night Football to open the season at Denver on September 14th.
The Titans will return to Nashville for their home opener against Jacksonville on Sunday, September 20th. The other primetime games include a Thursday Night home game against the Indianapolis Colts on November 12th and a visit to the Green Bay Packers for a Sunday Night game on December 27th.
Nashville, TN – Following an impressive 43-13 win at the Cleveland Browns in the season opener, the Tennessee Titans lost four of their next five contests, including a shutout at the Denver Broncos on October 13th. At 2-4, there was little indication that the Titans would be playing well into January.
With a home date against the Los Angeles Chargers next on the schedule, Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Vrabel made the decision to insert eighth-year veteran quarterback Ryan Tannehill into the starting lineup for the first time since he arrived in Tennessee.

This week’s game will be regionally televised on FOX, including Nashville affiliate WZTV Fox 17. The broadcast team includes play-by-play announcer Kenny Albert, analyst Ronde Barber and sideline reporter Sara Walsh.
Tennessee Titans (8-5) vs. Houston Texans (8-5)

Nashville, TN – In a battle for first place in the AFC South, the Tennessee Titans (8-5) host the Houston Texans (8-5) this week at Nissan Stadium (capacity 69,143). Kickoff is scheduled for noon CST on Sunday, December 15th, 2019.
It is the first of two Titans-Texans contests in the final three weeks of the season. They will conclude the regular season against each other in Houston on December 29th. A sweep by either team will result in a division championship.

Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Titans (1-0) play their home opener this week against the AFC South rival Indianapolis Colts (0-1). Kickoff at Nissan Stadium (capacity 69,134) is scheduled for noon CDT on Sunday, September 15th, 2019.
At halftime of the game, controlling owner Amy Adams Strunk and the Titans will retire Steve McNair’s No. 9 jersey and running back Eddie George’s No. 27 jersey. They will become the seventh and eighth players in franchise history to have their numbers retired. Among the 31 other NFL clubs, there is not another No. 9 or No. 27 jersey retired.
Nashville, TN – This week’s game marks the 67th all-time meeting between the Tennessee Titans and Cleveland Browns. In the previous 66 outings, the Browns own a 35-31 advantage, including separate nine- and six-game winning streaks by the Browns.
The Titans’ nine-game losing streak against the Browns from 1970-74 is tied (Oakland, 1966-73) for the second-longest in franchise history. The clubs have played one playoff game, a 24-23 Wild Card win by the Oilers in 1988.

The contest marks the second season opener in franchise history against the Browns. The only other time it happened was a Browns win in Cleveland in 1971.

The contest with the Bears is the Titans’ fourth and final preseason contest before kicking off the regular season. They open against the Browns in Cleveland on September 8th.

The game will be televised regionally on the Titans Preseason TV Network, including flagship WKRN-News 2 in Nashville. Play-by-play announcer Dan Hellie and analyst Charles Davis will call the action, and Cory Curtis will report from the sidelines.
