Washington, D.C. – The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) reports General Motors, LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2019-2021 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500, 2021 Chevrolet Suburban and Tahoe and GMC Yukon XL and 2020-2021 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 and 3500 and GMC Sierra 2500 and 3500 vehicles.
Hankook expands its partnership with GM to include Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra
Nashville, TN – Leading global tire maker Hankook Tire will equip the 2021 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra Heavy Duty models with Dynapro MT2 tires. Both the Silverado and Sierra, two of GM’s most durable heavy-duty pickup trucks, will be fitted in the size LT275/70R18.
General Motors recalls over 350,000 Pickups because Poor Alternator Connection may cause Crash or Fire
Washington, D.C. – The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) reports that the General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2019-2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500 trucks.
An intermittent electrical connection between the B+ battery cable and the alternator could cause the vehicle to stall, increasing the risk of a crash. The intermittent connection could also lead to electrical arcing, which could generate sufficient heat to damage surrounding material, increasing the risk of a fire.
Nashville, TN – State Farm says a vehicle is stolen about every 41 seconds in America. The months of July and August are the top two months for vehicle thefts.
Clarksville Police Department (CPD)
Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Police report that there were five motor vehicles stolen and another attempted vehicle theft at different locations throughout Clarksville between February 21st – 25th, 2019.
Five out of six of the vehicles either were left unlocked with keys inside or left running unattended.
Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO)
Clarksville, TN – Investigators with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) are asking for the public’s assistance in locating suspects responsible for a string of car thefts that occurred in the Sango and Adams area of Montgomery County.
The thefts occurred between August 3rd, 2018 and August 7th, 2018 on Bryan Road, Boulder Court, Prince Drive, and Ivy Bend Circle.
A total of six vehicles were stolen. A 2017 GMC Sierra, 2016 GMC Sierra, 2016 Nissan Maxima, 2014 Ford Expedition, 2014 Volkswagen Passat, and a 2010 Mazda CX. All the vehicles have been recovered except for the Passat.
Clarksville, TN – On January 18th, 2018, Clarksville Police responded to a vehicle accident at Crossland Avenue and Talley Drive where a 55 year old man driving a 1999 Ford Ranger was hit by a a 2011 GMC Sierra driven by an 18 year old male.
On Wednesday, January 24th, 2018, around 3:00pm, the 18 year old driver of the GMC Sierra, Vintavious LaMorris Williams, was booked into the Montgomery County Jail.
Clarksville, TN – On Thursday, January 18th, 2018 around 1:40pm, Clarksville Police report a 99 Ford Ranger driven by a 55 year old man, had a green light and was traveling east on Crossland Avenue when a 2011 GMC Sierra driven by an 18 year old male, traveling south of Talley Drive, ran through a redlight and crashed into the driver side of the Ford Ranger.
According to witness accounts, the 18 year old was driving at a high rate of speed on Talley Drive when he ran the redlight.
Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Police Department is searching for a missing adult male and is requesting public assistance.
The missing person is 19-year-old De’Andre Marquis Palmer from Clarksville, Tennessee. He was last seen on Saturday, July 16th, 2016 driving a Red 2011 GMC Sierra Pickup Truck in Clarksville, TN and Oak Grove, KY.
Clarksville, TN – On November 14th, 2015 at about 2:54am, 28-year-old Derrick Bradford Jr from Clarksville was driving a 2012 Chrysler Sebring passenger car east bound on 101st Airborne Division Parkway. The Sebring was struck from behind by a 2014 GMC Sierra pickup truck being driven by 26-year-old Jacob Clark, a Fort Campbell soldier.
The collision caused the pickup truck to override the Sebring, and push it through the intersection. Roshawnda Dolson, 28-year-old from Clarksville, was a passenger in the Sebring and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
