Clarksville, TN – After only winning two of its first 13 games, Northeast High School’s girls basketball team has run its current win streak to six games, Tuesday, January 13th, as the Lady Eagles picked up a 63-50 District 10-AAA victory over Kenwood High School.
But more importantly for the Lady Eagles it’s the third straight district win for Northeast, as they move over .500 in the district standings at 4-3, while improving to 8-11 overall.
Adrian Dalton’s Big Fourth Quarter pushes Hunters Lane Lady Warriors to 51-41 win over Northeast Lady Eagles
Clarksville, TN – The Northeast Lady Eagles entered the fourth quarter of their second game in the Rossview Christmas Classic against the Hunters Lane Lady Warriors with a 33-29 lead and a solid chance to win the game based on how they had played so far.
However, they did not see Lady Warrior Adrian Dalton coming. Adrian Dalton scored all of her 16 points in the fourth quarter, leading the Lady Warriors to a 51-41 victory.
Clarksville, TN – Northeast High School’s girls basketball team played as well as they have all season in the first half, Tuesday, December 9th, in their District 10-AAA game versus Henry County High School, but a third-quarter meltdown by the Lady Eagles proved to be the difference maker in a 57-48 loss.
Leading 26-17 heading into the third quarter, Northeast (2-4, 1-2 District 10-AAA) saw Henry County score the first six points of the second half to cut the Lady Eagles lead down to just three points, 26-23.
Clarksville, TN – The Northwest Lady Vikings lost their second District 10-AAA game at home Friday night. They lost a close game to cross town rivals, the Northeast Lady Eagles, 44-38. The Lady Eagles used excellent ball control and clutch free throws to take the game away late from the Lady Vikings.
Down 36-31, the Lady Eagles put together a 7-0 run to take a 38-36 lead with 3:49 left in the game. Then Lady Eagles’ guard Sepe Moore put on a dribbling clinic, killing more than two minutes off the clock before finally being fouled.
Clarksville High Lady Wildcats open District 10-AAA play by turning back late Northeast Lady Eagles rally
Clarksville, TN – Clarksville High School girls basketball team saw a 13-point, fourth-quarter lead over Northeast High School cut to five, Tuesday, December 2nd at the William Workman Gymnasium, before staving off the Lady Eagles for a 61-51 District 10-AAA victory.
The Lady Wildcats (3-7, 1-0 District 10-AAA) had taken their largest lead of the game, 48-35, just 14 seconds into the fourth quarter on a layup by Ta’Tayana Outlaw, but Northeast scored the next four points – including a three from Jazzmyn Simpson to cut the margin back down to nine points.
Clarksville, TN – The Lady Knights galloped over the Northeast Lady Eagles 18-9 in their jamboree match up Thursday night. A big first period was all it took to beat the Eagles who scored single digit points in both 8-minute periods.
The Lady Eagles struggled to score from both the floor and the free throw line. They scored only three baskets from the floor and shot 3-of-9 from the free throw line.
Lady Knights Mikeala Smith and Malia Umrani led all scorers with 4 points. Smith also pulled down 3 rebounds.
Clarksville, TN – For the third time in three days, the Clarksville High Lady Wildcats and the Northeast Lady Eagles faced off. But this time, after the last echo of a softball coming off an aluminum bat faded and the red dust kicked up from slides settled, a District 10-AAA Tournament Champion was crowned.
The Lady Wildcats held off a late rally by the Lady Eagles to win the final District 10-AAA Tournament Championship game, 8-6.
McKenzie Rose hit a three-run homer in her first at bat to give the Lady Wildcats a 4-1 lead at the bottom of the first inning. Going into the sixth, the Lady Wildcats had expanded their lead to 6-2.
Clarksville, TN – What a difference a day makes.
One day ago, the Clarksville Lady Wildcats waged a seven-inning battle against the Northeast Lady Eagles, both teams combining to score three runs and the Lady Wildcats losing 2-1.
A day later, on Wednesday, May 7th, the Lady Wildcats had to defeat the Kenwood Lady Knights to get a rematch against the Lady Eagles and possibly force a third game to determine the 2014 District 10-AAA Tournament Champion.
Northeast Softball’s Autumn Adams Steals Home to give Lady Eagles 2-1 win over Clarksville High Lady Wildcats
Clarksville, TN – Like so many great games, it came down to one play.
The top two seeds in the District 10-AAA softball tournament: The Clarksville High Lady Wildcats and the Northeast Lady Eagles- faced off at Clarksville High Tuesday, May 6th, and the game was decided by one play.
Tied 1-1 in the top of the sixth inning, a missed ball at third base allowed Autumn Adams to steal home and score the run that let her Lady Eagles defeat the Lady Wildcats, 2-1.
Clarksville, TN – Kayla Bradley and Alicia Veltri both hit first inning grand slam home runs for Northeast High School, April 30th, as the Lady Eagles got out to a 9-0 lead in their District 10-AAA matchup versus Rossview High School and never looked back, as they defeated the Lady Hawks 13-3.
With the win, Northeast (21-8-1, 10-3 District 10-AAA) wrapped up the number-two seed for the upcoming district tournament and will host either Springfield High School or West Creek High School on May 2nd at 5:30pm.
