Nashville Sounds release Schedule for 2018

 

41st Nashville Sounds Season Begins April 5th with Home Opener set for April 10th

Nashville SoundsNashville, TN – The Nashville Sounds Baseball Club has announced its 2018 schedule, complete with home and away times for all 140 games.

The 41st season in club history begins on Thursday, April 5th, 2018 when the Sounds travel to New Orleans to take on the Baby Cakes at 7:00pm. It’s the first of a five-game series against the American Southern Division rival.

The fourth season at state-of-the-art First Tennessee Park begins on Tuesday, April 10th when the Sounds host the Iowa Cubs at 6:35pm. Opening Night against the Cubs is the start of a seven-game homestand that also brings the Omaha Storm Chasers to downtown Nashville.

Nashville SoundsNashville, TN – The Nashville Sounds Baseball Club announced its 2018 home schedule at First Tennessee Park, in conjunction with the Pacific Coast League today.

The fourth season at state-of-the-art First Tennessee Park begins on Tuesday, April 10th when the Sounds host the Iowa Cubs – the Triple-A affiliate of the Chicago Cubs. Opening Night against the Cubs is the start of a seven-game homestand that also brings the Omaha Storm Chasers – the Triple-A affiliate of the Kansas City Royals to town.

First Tennessee Park plays host to 11 different homestands to make up the 70-game 2018 home schedule.

Albuquerque Isotopes holds Nashville Sounds scoreless Sunday

Nashville SoundsNashville, TN – The Nashville Sounds settled for a four-game series split after a 6-0 loss to the Albuquerque Isotopes spoiled the day for 9,718 fans on Mother’s Day at First Tennessee Park.

The near-capacity crowd didn’t have much to cheer about as the Sounds (15-18) were blanked for the second time in 2017.

Albuquerque jumped on Nashville starter Paul Blackburn in the second inning. Noel Cuevas reached on an infield single and quickly moved to third when Jordan Patterson followed with a double. Both scored on run-scoring hits by Rafael Ynoa and Collin Ferguson.

Faith and Family Night, Bark in the Park, Mother’s Day Celebration Highlight Nine-Day Stretch

Nashville SoundsNashville, TN – The Nashville Sounds Baseball Club returns to First Tennessee Park tomorrow to begin a nine-day, eight-game homestand against a pair of Pacific Conference opponents.

The Sounds welcome the defending PCL Champion El Paso Chihuahuas – Triple-A affiliate of the San Diego Padres – for a four-game series from May 6th-9th. After a team off day on Wednesday, May 10th, the Albuquerque Isotopes – Triple-A affiliate of the Colorado Rockies – are in town for a four-game set from May 11th-14th.

Nashville Sounds release Promotional Schedule for 2017

 

Nashville SoundsNashville, TN – The Nashville Sounds Baseball Club announced its full promotional schedule for the 2017 season. The 71-game home schedule at First Tennessee Park features bobblehead and t-shirt giveaways, theme nights, special guest appearances and 14 musically-themed fireworks shows.

Dueling pianos presented by First Tennessee take center stage on Opening Day when the Sounds welcome the Oklahoma City Dodgers on Tuesday, April 11th. The Opening Day festivities include the first post-game fireworks show of the season.

Nashville Sounds 2017 Baseball Schedule

 

40th Anniversary Season Begins April 6th with Home Opener April 11th

Nashville SoundsNashville, TN – The Nashville Sounds Baseball Club has announced its 2017 Pacific Coast League schedule, complete with home and away times for all 142 games.

The 2017 season represents the 40th in club history after beginning play in 1978 in the Southern League. The 40th Anniversary (40th Anniversary logo is attached) season begins Thursday, April 6th when the Sounds travel to Round Rock, Texas for a five-game series with American Southern Division rival, the Round Rock Express.  

“We’re thrilled about the team’s 40th anniversary season and third at First Tennessee Park,” said Sounds General Manager Adam Nuse. “Our staff is working hard to create an exciting promotional schedule that will highlight the rich history of 40 years of Sounds baseball in Nashville.”
