Montgomery County, TN – The Montgomery County Health Department is working in partnership is working in partnership with Montgomery County Government, the City of Clarksville, Fort Campbell, Tennova Healthcare of Clarksville, Premier Medical Group, Austin Peay State University, Clarksville-Montgomery County School System, other local schools, and other local, regional and state officials to implement prevention and mitigation strategies for local communities based on guidance provided by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and by state leadership.

There have been many rumors on symptoms, assessments and testing that are not factual.
Based on information from the Montgomery County Health Department and other medical providers people are asking to be tested for COVID-19 (Coronavirus) who do not exhibit symptoms.
City of Clarksville Opioid Task Force to merge with Allies For Substance Abuse Prevention of Montgomery County

Clarksville, TN – The Mayor’s Opioid Task Force, a group formed last year to to help the City of Clarksville develop a coordinated local response to the opioid crisis, will merge into a larger countywide group, Allies For Substance Abuse Prevention of Montgomery County, or ASAP.
“This is a broad problem that affects our entire community, so we think it’s best to merge forces and create the broadest possible group to battle the opioid crisis and other substance abuse issues,” Clarksville Mayor Joe Pitts said.

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan is forming an Opioid Task Force to help the City develop a coordinated local response to the opioid crisis gripping America.
The Mayor’s Opioid Task Force is charged with advising the Mayor of Clarksville on a coordinated plan to reduce opioid abuse, dependence and overdose in Clarksville and to draft a report of findings and recommendations for action.
Great American Clean-up 2018
Montgomery County, TN – On Saturday, April 28th, 2018 more than 400 people came out to the annual Clarksville-Montgomery County Great American Clean-up event. Participants cleaned up litter in various areas of the community from the industrial park to downtown.
The event is promoted through the Clarksville Area Chamber of Commerce and organized through Bi-County Solid Waste Management.
Clarksville, TN – Movies in the Park — the City of Clarksville’s free, outdoor movie series — continues on Saturday, July 22nd, 2017 with the showing of “Secret Life of Pets” at McGregor Park’s North Extension, 640 North Riverside Drive (behind O’Charleys).
Pre-show activities, coordinated by the Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department, will begin at 6:00pm.
